Excellent food choices and service top notch. Highly recommend this place for lunch and dinner. Staff particularly excellent and the flavour of food considering a simple menu.... Says it all
A short drive from Athlone and well worth it. Busy pub with varied dishes and blackboard specials. Maybe not as much seafood as I had expected but still something for everyone. The Fjord mussels were delicious though.
As I was driving I tried the 0% red wine but not a success. Will stick to soft drinks in the future.
30/06/2024: Yet again another lovely meal here. Only had started and chips this time but the mushroom and bacon salad was absolutely gorgeous. Would actually have eaten a bit more though. Prices are fairly reasonable too.
10/06/2024: Stopped here for dinner in Glasson village...food area was busy and we didn't have a reservation...but we waited only 5 minutes for a clean table...staff are very courteous and took our order promptly ..got the soup, was delicious and came with a slice of Guinness bread and brown bread ...we asked about the Guinness bread and it is baked on site, so we ended up buying a loaf.... got the homemade burger with chips, onions, mushrooms, pepper sauce on a large potato croquette...was so delicious...my husband got the creamiest pint of Guinness...we were too full to eat dessert so cannot make comment..have since sent 10 other people over for dinner on our recommendation....will definitely be returning 😋
