The Viscount in Dublin

My local pub, always clean, no idiots (except myself!) - indeed the zero tolerance towards freeloaders scrounging tapwater and blocking off seats is something I love. Excellent Guinness plus the locals and staff put up with me! What more could I want...

The Golden Palace restaurant although looks a bit shabby on entering the food and staff are excellent. Value for money is exceptional. 2 starters and a main course for 23.50. we were heading to the theatre after and had let the staff know the service was super. Well worth a visit .

Dave the Bar man is outstanding really makes the pub he would never leave you waiting even when the place it packed. He's a real asset to have behind the counter. Great local bar. Dave is still a phenomenal bar man.

Typical Urish Pub!!!! Very friendly reception and service. Delicious sandwich (toasted). The cider was good too. We can highly recommend it. Good parking options! Reasonable prices.

A great local, where staff are always friendly, professional and attentive. The pints of black stuff are impeccable. The food is Chinese cuisine from the restaurant upstairs, fresh and tasty. You can also have a few drinks before and after the dinner you booked in the restaurant upstairs and you can order from the extensive drinks available while eating in the restaurant, freshly poured pints included. Tea, barista coffee , sandwiches, scones and biscuits available too. Guests from the nearby international hotel come in and get a million welcomes (cead míle fáilte) from the staff and the locals that drink and eat there. Previous reviewers think that a glass of water is a drink and sharing a starter between 2 is a meal, and bringing in their own snacks to eat is ok, obviously not. The standards the owners, management and staff have set are the reasons why many happy customers return to The Viscount on a daily and regular basis.
