JUNO in Dublin

This was the old Red Parrott bar . The new owners have definitely given this bar and lounge a new lease of life 🙌. Nice to see pubs opening instead of closing well done lads .

This is a very special neighbourhood pub! The pints are excellent, the cocktails are delicious and the staff are lovely! Playlist is always on top form too

Here, I'm only going to write my personal assessment of the wonderful bar/pub "Juno" (formerly the site of "The Red Parrot"), rather than of "Hera" restaurant, conjoined but actually next door (for which I'll add an entirely separete review presently). To whit: This is a fantastic establishment that works on every level, and those levels are innumerable. Please see below 👇🏻: First: No television visible from my chosen banquet (nor any other)! 🎖 Second: VERY gentle & subtlely controlled background music (on a good evening you might even be lucky enough to get George Shearing, or other somesuch sophisticated jazz. 😎). Third: VERY cheap, yet SUPERB, Beamish Irish Stout! Fourth: The Guinness is also SUPERB, of course... (seriously, prices here are competitive, ie., VERY GOOD!). So, isn't about time we got down to the nitty gritty: EVERYTHING ELSE ALSO IS ("superb", that is), so do check out the 1st Class/GREAT VALUE cocktail range (including my No. 1 personal favourite, the rarely-found "Muki Gimlet", with a STRONG bang of non-alcohol gin off of it, for only €7. Yes, you heard me quite well, yes ONLY SEVEN EURO! 😲). Wines, by the glass or in a bottle, are nothing less than sumptuous, as are some of the most sensational and generously served Mediterranean bar-snacks this side of The Red Sea. Fifth (if we're going to continue in this vein): The staff (names such as Rhea, Jess, Juno - no relation, and Alanah, as well as internationally bred Seán, who is the actual bar-manager, and a very good man to know; as well as others too delightful to actually name now*) are a STUPENDOUS team of dedicated young people who value customer satisfaction over even their very own lives. Come in here some time, and only then tell me if I'm even slightly "off" in my written, and therefore very carefully considered, opinion. I LOVE JUNO ❤️, and so shall you 🫵🏻!

The staff are very nice and the food very tasty but the prices in 2026 are nothing like those in the menu from 2 years ago shown here. It seemed to be at least a minimum of 30 for a main course. It's overpriced for what it is and the establishment should publish the up to date menu and prices here Beware that there's a 15 per person cancellation fee for bookings too.

Hired the private room for my 30th birthday - I was so impressed and happy, the staff were so helpful and nice. The service was great and the food was lovely, the guests all loved the platters. Would highly recommend Junos and the private event space!
