Visiting Ireland and bartender at another pub sent us to the Waterloo as his kitchen was done serving food on Sunday afternoon. There were 3 other pubs he could have recommended along the way. A solid Irish pub. Delicious food. I had the Irish Stew and my husband had the curry along with Guinness. Friendly staff, great food and of course Guinness in Ireland is better than anywhere else.

Accidentally popped in for some food and drinks right before the rugby semifinal. The pub was absolutely jammed. We were lucky to find a table. Hands down the best Guinness in this part of town so far. They are serving simple pub food, but very good quality, fresh and tasty. Surprisingly adequately priced. Service even during high peaks is excellent.

Was in The Waterloo this weekend, Busy as we'd expected because of the rugby, Which we was there for, Bar staff led by Mags I believe her name was excellent, Hardly any wait despite it being busy. Will definitely go again, Food also good. First class.

Went the other day with some friends and order a couple of beers, the place in of itself it's good, nice accommodations and good places to sit and chat but sometimes it's gets really loud, it get that is not fault of the pub so I won't complain more, the music is great and they always keep the place very clean with runners coming in and out with glasses so that's really good

One of my favorite pubs in Dublin. I come here every Saturday. It's delicious. Unfortunately, the large portion of chicken wings is getting smaller and smaller.

I went to try the new menu brunch! I have to say it’s really tasty and the prices are reasonable and the portions are great, I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict’s!! 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

07/05/2025: Treated here by some wonderful hosts. What a venue: decor and service were a fitting prelude to a thoughtful menu and simply the best prawn dish I have ever had (and there have been a few…). Unlike a previous review I found the prawns sublimely cooked, and the risotto a fitting partner. Wd go back in a flash and may simply order three of them…thanks for a super night.

Halfway House

05/05/2025: Halfway house from my understanding is popular for its carvery. We decided to go on Sunday in the afternoon to get some carvery and i can say it did not disappoint. Everything in the carvery was delicious and the portions were very good. There choose from turkey , beef and bacon for carvery and lots of veggies with other sides. I think the price is reasonable. The location is not bad but if it’s. busy day you might have to wait for some parking if you are coming with a car. From the looks of it the place has many seats inside and outside. If the weather is lovely then sitting outside is a vibe. I would recommend coming here for some carvery 100% ! We enjoyed it a lot
02/05/2025: Food is the usual standard pub food. Staff are friendly but extremely slow .
