The Westgrove Hotel in Clane

Hotel : decor was nice, lots of seating area outside of your room if you wanted to get out of the room for a bit for a chat or what ever, on the first and second floor. Room was huge , bed was massive, bathroom was nice , shower head could use a bit of TLC but it was good other wise Oak Bar : I got the Hake and chips it was unreal, batter crispy, with lots of fish inside not just all batter, chips were chunky and with a few crispy bits. (8.6/10)

The barman "Tom" is the reason I am writing this review. He was fantastic. He knew my tables drinks order after the second time of asking in a room with over 100 guests. He was warm and energetic and is a credit to the hotel. All the staff were fantastic and friendly while we stayed, but Tom deserves a special mention.

Could be a fantastic venue but needs more attention to attract the customes to come back.

We've just had our day on the 9th August and couldn't wait to do up a review on our hotel and share it with you all! 🤍 The Westgrove Hotel 🤍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From the moment we arrived at the Westgrove Hotel on Friday to check in, right through our wedding day on Saturday, the celebrations on day two, and finally checking out on Monday — everything was beyond perfect. We truly couldn’t fault a single thing. Our guests have not stopped complimenting the incredible staff, the stunning hotel, the delicious food — absolutely everything was flawless. The entire team went above and beyond to make our special day feel magical. To the wedding coordinators — Lorna and Lydia — we cannot thank you enough for everything you’ve done for us over the past 2.5 years since booking our wedding. As soon as we met Lorna, we instantly knew this was the place we wanted to say “I do.” She is warm, genuine, and such a lovely person. Then Lydia joined the wedding team, and honestly, she’s just as amazing — bubbly, kind, and so genuine. No matter how big or small our questions were, they always had time for us and answered everything with a smile. The week leading up to the wedding was filled with last-minute changes and potential stress, but for Lorna and Lydia, it was like a walk in the park. Their calm, professional, and positive approach made all the difference. We also want to give a special mention to James — what a star! From hosting our dinner and drinks with family and the bridal party the night before, to looking after us at our day two event, nothing was ever too big or too small. He went above and beyond and did an amazing job at every turn. And also our bar man, Tom - who was pouring drinks all night long and for the whole second day! Loads of compliments from our guests about James & Tom 🤍 A huge thank you as well to Bonnie, the manager, who is genuinely the nicest manager we’ve ever come across anywhere. She regularly came to check on us — whether to see if we needed anything or simply to make sure we were happy. Her warmth and attention meant so much to us during our stay. To every single member of staff we encountered — thank you from the bottom of our hearts 🤍 You all made our wedding weekend the most incredible, unforgettable experience of our lives. Fantastic hotel stayed here 2 nights

We had the most amazing stay recently at The Westgrove Hotel in Clane. We were looking for a few fun activities to do with the kids before they head back to school and pre school and decided to make a mini break out of it. We stayed for two nights in The Westgrove Hotel in Clane, Co Kildare which was a big hit with the kids. When we checked in, the receptionist was so nice, and the kids were given lovely little drawstring backpacks with snacks and a teddy inside which went down very well! They absolutely loved the swimming pool (lovely and warm which is a bonus). The breakfast each morning was really tasty and the chef made pancakes especially for our little girl which was a nice touch. We headed out each day and packed in so much – most of the attractions were close by. We visited Emerald Park (we actually booked a 2 night staying including park tickets which was handy). The drive was about 50 minutes from the hotel which is great. We also visited some more local attractions including Clonfert Pet Farm which the kids loved and even managed to squeeze in a barge trip with Bargetrip.ie. All in all, had a brilliant stay and would highly recommend to any families looking to get away before the kids head back to school. 10/10

Have had a very good experience each time I've stayed/performed here, however, have had 2 sticky interactions with the same lady both times where she was just rude, talked over me at every chance, rolled her eyes and was passively aggressive repeating herself like she's reciting from the 'hospitality book', which pisses me off tbh. Presents with zero compassion and appears to really hate her job. I have examples but as trivial and minor as they are, they should have been easily taken care of which they weren't - a slight British lady.. All other staff - exceptional! bar none.

I met up with my friend for a coffee here the outside lift was out of order so my friend who has difficulty with stairs had a bit of a walk to the reception area to use the lift there. There were children screaming and charging around i do think management should approach the parents about unsupervised children.
