Very welcoming.
With its small outdoor tables, it's very tidy.

My friend and I were in from the states and went here St Patrick's night after someone recommended it. The atmosphere was perfection and the acoustic musician made our night. Plus the servers were nice as well!

A good 👍 pub. I got a free pint on Christmas 🎄 eve 2025. Can get very busy, but staff always do their best to serve people. I usually have 1 or 2 drinks here and get the bus 🚌 home to Raheen around the corner.

Excellent experience at The White House. Great atmosphere, fantastic pints, and a really welcoming vibe overall. We stopped in on a nice breezy evening and the outdoor seating area with the gas heaters made it especially comfortable to sit outside and enjoy a drink, although we moved indoors after a while as the rain got more intense. Everything felt relaxed and easygoing, just the kind of place you want to spend time in. A lovely spot for a pint and good company — we’ll definitely be back. 🍻

We are in Limerick for a brief stop. The staff at the George Hotel (fabulous) recommended. Went there and found Limerick Ireland. The beer and whiskeys selection was well enough. The pub is like one from a 1940s movie. Friendly, welcoming, laughing and talking. Sat next to a lovely retired Irishman. He is also a native speaker of Gaeilge (Irish) and spoke with us in his language (we are learning) Met a handsome businessman and his lovely fiancé. The retired gentleman was there for the "Trad" which happens every Tuesday night. He also mentioned that the Whitehouse pub has poetry readings there as well. That is fitting because this pub is on the Limerick Literary Trail and was the sight of a 1954 poetry reading by the famous Desmond O'Grady.
We were there for the Trad too. What a selection of musicians! It turns out to be many of them are from the music college at the University of Limerick. There was 1 set of (uillinn) pipes, 3 button accordians, 1 key accordian, 3 flutes, 4 concertinas, 6, SIX violins! 3 Irish guitars, 1 tenor banjo. They played and talked and played and talked. It was wonderful and real Irish culture. SOME of the were speaking their language too! If you love Ireland and know how magical Limerick was and, to my view, is, this is an amazing pub.
