Great shop, the boss is great and also the mayor, on Sundays Super plays live music in the pub from 9 p.m., we had a great time and would love to come back every year.

The Heron's Cove

28/09/2025: Very friendly staff, clean, comfortable slightly old style rooms. Perfect for what we needed and beautiful views. Irene was very friendly and full of local knowledge. She is also an exceptional chef and the breakfast was stunning. The breakfast was served at a leisurely pace and everything was delicious. A relaxing start to the day. We hope to come back again.

Athlone Golf Club Restaurant & Bar

05/09/2025: Didn't play just popped in for a coffee .Lovely setting with Lough Ree in the distance. Course looks superb.
24/08/2025: What a fantastic, tricky golf course. The staff are very friendly abd welcoming, foid was 5 star rate. We will be back.
