Big queue at the carvery,but moved fairly swiftly. €12 gorgeous a half portion,but I'm a fairly large guy and it was plenty.Very tight on parking,just parked across the road

Nice place good food and very friendly staff

This gastro pub is always hopping..such a popular spot..ideal location, brilliant friendly staff and food off the a la carte menu is really good and flavoursome. Only criticism is the carvery. Eg the salmon could be baked in batches and veg should be cooked separately instead of deep frying them with the breaded chicken. This makes the dish unsuitable for coeliacs or ppl with a gluten sensitivity..i get in any kitchen there's never a guarantee the food will be completely celiac friendly as there's always a risk of cross contamination but maybe there's another way of having dishes like fish gluten free. The roast beef was dry and not so easy to eat without the gravy probably because it was left under heat lamps for hours and dried out.. That's the only criticism I'd have about this pub. Otherwise we love it, we would have food there at least three times a month sometimes more..

Way too expensive for the quality of the carvery food they offer. Staff is nice, but it's only the location that keeps the business afloat. No decaf? 😕 Why?

Had my sons 30th Birthday here on Saturday 11th January 2025. The food was amazing and plentiful no complaints from my 20 guests. Staff were brilliant catered for all our needs with a smile. Special thanks to Stephanie who looked after us all she was amazing. Definitely be back again.

Homey and comfortable pub with good food

We visited Upper Deck on the 31st of December, and while I understand that staff might be tired at the end of the festive season, some aspects of our experience fell short of expectations. We chose from the set Christmas menu, and while the food was fine overall, our steaks were not cooked to the doneness we requested. Additionally, when our order was taken, we were not reminded that sides were not included. None of us noticed any note about this in the menu, which led to some confusion. That said, the staff were pleasant, and the food was enjoyable aside from these issues. For me, the highlight of Upper Deck is its quieter, tidier ambiance compared to the bustling gastro pub below, which made for a more relaxed dining experience. I would give it another try, perhaps outside of the busy holiday season.
