01/05/2025: Eddie Rocket's is a clean and spacious diner-style restaurant located in a busy area of the city.
The large seating area makes it a comfortable choice, especially if you're coming with shopping bags or a group of friends.
The music selection is great, creating a nostalgic, upbeat vibe that adds to the overall atmosphere—lively, but not too loud, so you can still enjoy a proper conversation.
One thing I appreciate is that they offer both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, which is convenient for groups with different preferences. Whether you want a beer or just a soft drink, you’re covered.
The menu features classic fast-food-style items like burgers, fries, and a variety of basket meals, each offering a selection of items. The prices are fair—not especially cheap, but reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. The food is OK, comparing to the price.
Another small but thoughtful touch is that sauces and tissue packs are already on the table, so you don’t need to ask for them each time—which is really convenient and appreciated.
There are a few areas for improvement:
1. Air conditioning – At times, the air inside can feel a bit heavy or stuffy. Improving ventilation or airflow would make the space feel fresher and more comfortable.
2. Mosquito control – Especially during certain seasons, Grafton Street can get swarmed with mosquitoes, and unfortunately, some make their way into the restaurant. It would be helpful if Eddie Rocket’s could look into ways to reduce this—like adding screens or other deterrents.
All in all, Eddie Rocket’s is a solid spot for a casual meal, good music, and a relaxed chat. With a few small improvements, it could be an even better experience.
