Tiramisu Da'Costa family is the perfect hidden gem! It's so serene and peaceful, and it's only a 2-minute walk outside of town! The carbonara is mouth-watering delicious, and it's definitely the best around! I went with two friends, we sat outside, the sun was beaming down.. felt just like we were in Rome🙌

Tasty food for a great price. Lovely staff, restaurant was clean and nice atmosphere. Menu changes daly, location is not too great but the place is worth for a little walk :)
Authentic Italian food. Everything was fresh and tasty.
Service was great, friendly staff. Good value.
Unusual location, it's located at the back of a business park, but don't let the location put you off as the food more than makes up for it, it's a lovely space. Well worth the visit.

This had been highly recommended by some of my friends, and so my fiance and I had to check it out!! We had tried in January, but timed it poorly as the owners were on vacation, but this April we were successful and had a delightful experience!!
The pasta was really good, but my favorite was the tiramisu I had!! That was tops!! I picked the Marsala (I think that's what it was called...) it was amazing!!

To say that this restaurant was a surprise is an understatement. If you are in the area and are not looking for a romantic venue, don't let the surroundings turn you down but trust the reviews and try out this place. One of the most authentic Italian experiences I have ever had in Ireland.
That starts from the name "osteria" which used to be used to describe a place serving delicious and affordable food following recipes that your grandma would prepare for you.
The look & feel is very curated and it makes it stand out in the location where it is situated.
Of course there are the symbolic chequered table clothes. Like in real Italian restaurants, you are given a basket of breadsticks to nibble away while you wait for the food to be served.
Also as per tradition, the menu is hand written. Here, I was told, it changes every week. Good thing, really good thing.
The carbonara I was brought was well prepared and the portion very generous. Don't let the photo I took trick you because what you see there is half a portion (I forgot to take the picture before starting to eat).
I found the guanciale very tasty but personally I found the plate missing some taste. I added pepper & pecorino twice and I felt it was still missing something. My friend even ended up adding salt.
I loved the idea of tiramisĂą with marsala. It was good but there too, I would have loved a stronger taste. Maybe some more sugar?
I was grateful to the 2 waitresses (both Italian and very gentle) for preparing for me my favorite coffee variant, "lungo", which is so rare to be found in Ireland. Lovely touch that they added to the coffee a GrisbĂ biscuit instead of the still delicious but too common Biscoff.
