Toro Tapas Bar in Malahide

Went to Tore on a Wednesday around 7.30pm no booking and honestly, you’d swear it was Saturday night 😂 The place was absolutely hopping full house, candles glowing, dark autumn evening outside. Two lovely ladies looked after us and the service was brilliant. They also do a great Wednesday deal. Food was gorgeous pil pil was delicious, although I’d happily take a bit more fire . Tempura was beautiful, chorizo was unreal, steak was spot on and the croquetas were fantastic, because frankly, if you don’t order croquetas in a tapas bar, why are you even there? Great food, great service, brilliant atmosphere and a restaurant absolutely buzzing midweek.

What a little gem! This is an absolute must when in Malahide. The interior transports you straight to Spain — candles lit, gorgeous atmosphere and a really lovely vibe. The menu is small, but there’s definitely something for everyone, and the food itself is fantastic. The cauliflower tempura and croquettes were the highlights for us absolutely delicious! The staff are super friendly, engaging and really add to the experience. We had a brilliant night. Great food, great atmosphere and great people. We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

Positives: The food we had was nice and has nice flavour. The croquettes in particular were good. The staff were friendly and attentive. Service was quite fast, but the restaurant was quiet, so that helped. Negatives: I wouldn't say the value is great. We had 5 tapas and a glass of wine each, which came to 82euro. We were still hungry after, but couldn't justify paying 11euro for things like tomato bread. Some staples of tapas not on the menu e.g. albondigas, calamares. Visited on Friday night and there were about 3 or 4 other tables there during our time. Overall: I would recommend a review on pricing and menu. Perhaps offer a select 3/4 tapas pricing menu. 11 euro for tomato bread is pretty high.

We had our child’s Holy Communion celebration at Toro Tapas and everything was amazing. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly kind and helpful. They adjusted the menu to our preferences and even gave us a private room for our 24 guests, which made the event extra special. Everything was clean, well organized, and we felt very welcomed. Highly recommend and we will definitely come back!
