Toscana in Dublin

We decided to give this restaurant another try as we haven't been in about 15 years and couldn't remember any reasons for not going back. Positives: - Nice table upstairs by the window (as requested) with great views of the sea front - Good service. The waiter was attentive and our food came out in good time. Negatives: - Quiet ambiance. - We had decided to have an early bird meal but had to ask the server for the menu when we sat down as we were only given the a la carte menu - Early bird menu appeared to be good value but we noticed a supplement of 3 euro to add a side to a main dish. The chicken portion was small and came with nothing else if you did not opt to pay for a side. A la Carte is expensive for what you get. I added prawns to a pizza and it cost 4.50 euro for 4 x prawns. I also opted for a side of seasonal veg at 7 euro and was extremely disappointed with a sad looking side plate of 2 x bits of brocolli, 3 x carrot sticks and a baby potato sliced in half. Not worth 7 euro. The desserts were also expensive at 9 euro. The restaurant food and service is good but I think that the food is overpriced for what you're getting and based on the pricing alone, I would not be likely to dine here again.

I was very excited to try here when my friend suggested a meal and after looking at the menu. The food options are great. The reason for my low rating is the reaction I got from the waiter after I asked him a simple question about parmasan. Also there was a lot of fruit flies around our table.

Came for a work dinner. The food was INCREDIBLE! The appetiser were really good but the pizza was one of the best I’ve had! The service through the evening was impeccable. 100% recommended!

The food is delicious, the place has a great sea view, and the Italian shop owner is a classy person.

The restaurant is nice, especially on the first floor. The staff is friendly. The service is very fast. We've been here twice. It's good. However, I think 22 euros for a lemon chicken supreme and a baked potato isn't cheap.

My partner and I had our anniversary dinner and it was so lovely. The space is beautiful with an amazing view over the sea. We shared an anti pasta platter to start, for mains we had the rigatoni with chicken and the fettuccine, and for dessert we had tiramisu. The food was delicious and fresh, and I cannot begin to describe how friendly, welcoming and attentive the staff were. They really made the evening feel special. I can’t wait to come back again!

Been to this restruant a few times and cannot argue about the food it has always been lovely, but on this occasion my friend discovered a piece of foil in her pasta having mentioned it to the waiter but that was as far as it went, my friend finished her meal as apart from that incident she enjoyed it, it would have been nice if the staff had been a bit more apologetic and not so "non chalant" about foreign objects in your food
