Staff were very helpful and attentive food was fab ..will be back again

I ordered a glass of milk here and the waiter came back with this absolutely massive receptacle full to the brim, I was very surprised by this as most of the time when you order a glass of milk they look at you weird and then bring you the smallest possible glass they can find to put it in, I’ll be coming here again.

Quite sad to have to do this being honest but I'm done with Toughers, they are out and out scalpers, the prices have gone up twice these 3 months. VERY expensive for pub/carvery food they're charging haut cuisine prices and the charge EXTRA for EVERYTHING. To the point it actually makes no sense. My dinner came with a pot of gravy included but the two kids meals with mashed potatoes were sent out dry. Nowhere on the menu does it mention kids meals come with ketchup or mayo, there was none on the table nor were we ever offered any. To be then told I should have asked for it. They charged extra for a small splash of gravy, and charged for tiny glasses of mi wadi, Ketchup costs money to buy in too so giving that free but not a small amount of gravy for a kids meal makes zero sense. This isn't a small restaurant either and it's always packed they are making money hand over fist so the charging extra for everything is raw profiteering nothing more. The men's toilets were also so disgusting they were unusable. The quality of the food is the only thing saves this from being 1 star the food is excellent and the portion is good. That makes the whole scalping thing all the more disappointing and it never used to be like this iv been coming here for years regularly but I'm done I'll be taking my good custom elsewhere

Got the roast beef it was excellent and sunk a few creamy pints whilst I was there would recommend and will go again

Very good restaurant, super pleasant and kind waitresses especially Ange 😉, the dishes are copious and very good, address to keep, I will go back.

Myself and a friend had a very nice Sunday lunch in Toughers. The staff were friendly and efficient and we were served really, really quickly. There was a good range on the menu, I had the salmon and it was very nice. Decent value, nice atmosphere snd plenty of parking.
