This is a wonderful restaurant and the food is always outstanding.
However, I took two friends here recently, visiting from overseas, and there seemed to be far too many staff.
I think in order to look busy, they were hovering at all times and repeatedly approaching the table to ask if we were finished, or if they could take something away. We were sharing some starters and trying to enjoy our food at a nice pace and chat and catch up at the same time. It wasn't because they needed the table back as we had a late booking and there were empty tables, so I genuinely think they were just trying to look busy. Same thing with the main courses, constant interruptions and then we ordered one dessert to literally pick at between us and each time one of us put our fork down, someone came over to ask if we were done. It was really off putting and by the end simply annoying. I've never had that experience there before.
Craving Pakistani lamb chops we ended up at Kinara Kitchens and it was the best decision we made. The restaurant is elegant yet the staff make you feel at home. The manager and servers were so attentive and catered to our every whim, even making us authentic 'masala chai'! The food was fresh and mouth wateringly delicious. The lamb chops were so yummy! We were treated to the best gulab jambu with ice cream, yum, it was heavenly. I would definitely go back! Best thing is its centrally located not far from Temple Bar.
