If you’re looking for a nice breakfast spot close to the city centre, this place is worth considering. Having a reservation is definitely helpful, especially on busy days. I went there specifically to try the pistachio pancake that I had seen in Google reviews, but unfortunately I was told it is no longer available, which was a bit disappointing. My only criticism is that although the seating area is indoors, it felt quite cold due to a constant draft. The kitchen door and the exit door were often left open, and I ended up feeling cold throughout our visit I even had to keep my coat on. Paying a bit more attention to this would really improve the overall experience.

Great spot for a brew and although the food isn't cheap, it is quite good!

The coffee variety and the environment are the best things about this place. The food is good, but too expensive compared to the portions sizes. For example, we ordered the Salmon Eggs Royal, for €19, and it came looking like something was missing as it was so small. The Chicken Brioche was a little bit better, but adding a portion of bacon made the whole difference. I would come back only to drink some good coffee.

A relaxed cafe with a natural flow that encourages unhurried visits. The seating, especially outdoors, makes it easy to stay longer and enjoy the surroundings. It feels casual yet comfortable, creating an atmosphere where conversations linger and time moves at an easy, steady pace.

The avo toast was delicious, and there was a nice selection of drinks. I had the ginger kombucha, which was really tasty, though it came in a can. The staff were friendly and brought tap water as soon as I was seated. Great overall experience.

A buzzing Rathmines crowd in Melbourian style Café, that serves top-tier coffee... "The Spanish Affair" (nickname by Me 😉) was my chosen delight and it didn’t disappoint. Vibes mathched by the crew's energy. Lost one star for the unlabelled pastries (mystery pastries aren’t always fun), but I’ll be back soon to uncover the dessert section. ⭐⭐⭐⭐✩

Tasty but overpriced. Paid €4 for two thin slices of black pudding to go with my eggs… also the minimum tip option on the card machine (besides no tip) was 15% which is egregious

The Music Café

20/12/2025: nice chill place to sit and read with a coffee
01/12/2025: One of the only places I visited twice during my short stay in Dublin. Very friendly and cozy café. Nice service and quite tasty food. Had breakfast there twice. Both the sandwiches and the pancakes were very yummy!☺️ It is quite small though so only can accomodate groups up to like 5-6 people.

Hardy's Bar

30/12/2025: From the moment we presented ourselves for our afternoon tea booking, Myat (a staff member who is a credit to this hotel) looked after our every need. Our luxurious window seating with a sea view was a treat in itself. What followed was nothing short of spectacular. We commented how the presentation of this festive afternoon tea was ALMOST too good to eat! Endless cups of tea accompanied by a perfectly warm glass of homemade mulled wine. The pastry chefs clearly put plenty of love and attention into the preparation of this afternoon tea. The Christmas sandwiches were so tasty, as were the fresh scones, canapés and little desserts. The food was so plentiful that we were offered the opportunity to take home whatever we couldn’t finish….which we happily did!! We will certainly be making festive afternoon tea a Christmas tradition. Thank you to Myat and all of the team for looking after us so well. What a relaxing way to spend an afternoon catching up with friends.
30/12/2025: The hotel was superb, with a very comfortable room! However, the spa area was rather disappointing; it felt more like a public swimming pool. But the gym was really good!
