Best falafel place in town. Very good food. If you are vegetarian or vegan, this is your go to place when you want to have a quick bite. It's a healthy fast food option. Self service. Very clean.

Umi Falafel on Mary Street is easily one of the best quick, fresh, and satisfying spots in Dublin 1. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming and relaxed, and it’s clear they take pride in both the food and the experience.
Food quality is outstanding. Everything tastes fresh and made with care, not rushed or “fast-food-ish” at all. The falafel is the star: crispy and deeply golden on the outside, soft and fluffy inside, with that perfect herby, spiced flavour that doesn’t feel greasy. It holds together beautifully and tastes like it’s just been fried to order. The hummus is smooth, rich, and properly creamy, with a real tahini depth and a nice drizzle of seasoning on top. It’s the kind of hummus you want to scoop up until the bowl is spotless.
The bowl is also packed with variety and balance—you get a proper mix of textures and flavours. The tabbouleh is bright and refreshing (loads of parsley, chopped tomato, and that lemony lift), and the rice/grains are well-cooked and filling without being heavy. The roasted/grilled veg (like aubergine) add a smoky softness, and the pickled elements bring a tangy kick that keeps every bite interesting. The sauces on the side are a great touch too—perfect for adjusting the heat/tang exactly how you like it.
Staff are genuinely kind and helpful. They’re patient, friendly, and make you feel comfortable even if you’re taking time to decide. Service is quick, but never feels cold or rushed—more like they’re efficient and nice, which is a rare combo.
The space is spacious and comfortable. Plenty of room to sit, eat properly, and not feel squeezed in—ideal for a relaxed lunch, a casual meet-up, or even grabbing something satisfying while you’re out shopping nearby. It also feels clean and well-kept, which adds to the overall positive experience.
Overall: delicious food, generous portions, warm staff, and a roomy setting—Umi Falafel on Mary Street is a place I’ll happily return to again and again. Highly recommended if you want a proper, flavourful meal that leaves you feeling full and happy.

Excellent place to eat Arabic and Palestinian food. Everything is delicious, plentiful, and very reasonably priced!
The customer service from the manager and all the staff is excellent, cordial, and friendly.
I'll keep going back to try all the dishes they make there! My favorites are the Palestinian falafel and the falafel stuffed with mozzarella!

:) I think the price performance is very good. If you want something both economical and healthy, get the falafel plates :)
