The food was served very quickly and really suited my taste - it was really tasty! Unfortunately, drinks only come from cans or bottles, not in glasses. The music was way too loud for my taste and you could barely hold a conversation. The benches seemed a bit unstable 😅 it's not a restaurant, it's more of a snack bar with seating. But then it was ok for us. The staff were all friendly and attentive. I can highly recommend umi falafel!

Pretty solid lunch place. Didn’t leave feeling heavy which was nice. I think I wish the portions were a little bigger based on price. Service was great. I LOVED strangely enough the caramelized onions in my bowl. I also really enjoyed the egg plant. Which I got double of that. Overall it was pretty good. It is a plant based protein restaurant so no meat.

For me, their falafels are The best I ever had. Their lentils soup is gorgeous too and they have several items suitable for vegans like me. The service is always top notch, food is prepared with smiles when you go for takeaways and serve with smiles at the tables too! I go there for about 12 years now and they are really one of the best food option for vegans in Dublin. Thank you for being so good Umi! ♥

Cozy cafe with the best Lebanese food. The bowls are amazing.... fresh, flavorful, varied, and large. The sauces, especially the tahini and garlic ones are the best. Staff is friendly and provide fast service. Prices are very reasonable.

7pm arrived - busy - thus slow service - food was amazing - had the Palestinian falafel - then a bit hungry, so had the umi burger - the only thing to note the burger is just 3 falafel pieces - I expected 1 falafel patty given the description on menu. Final point, the pocket was not available, so they gave the falafel in a wrap - but without warning me - which was not difficult to inform me prior to serving.

Umi Falafel is a great option for lovers of vegetarian and Middle Eastern food in Dublin. Their falafel is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, accompanied by fresh pita bread and delicious sauces. The atmosphere is cozy, with fast and friendly service. Portions are generous and the menu offers varied options, from wraps to salads and homemade hummus. Perfect for a quick and healthy meal without sacrificing flavor. Highly recommended for those looking for a tasty vegan alternative in the city centre!

Damascus Gate

05/04/2025: Delicious food and great recommendations from the waiter. We shared a meze plate and one main as we were not sure hungry. Highly recommend
28/03/2025: Came to this Syrian/Lebanese restaurant twice during my week’s stay in Dublin. Really good food had the lamb kibbeh followed by lamb skewers. Friendly owner, who gave good advice on menu choices. Good range of drinks including 0% beer on draught. Will definitely come again when I visit Dublin

Fayrouz Restaurant

19/04/2025: Lovely decor inside the restaurant, friendly and welcoming staff despite how busy the restaurant gets. Food was amazing, falafel were authentic and the chicken shish and shawarma were great as well. The only suggestion would be rearrangement of tables as it does feel slightly cramped with the current layout. Being able to bring your own alcohol for free is also a great plus
15/04/2025: Second visit here, this time with a Groupon voucher. Food is hit and miss. Haloumi bruschetta and grilled prawns tasty but dry, some sort of dressing/sauce is required and salad on both seemed as if it had been sitting around a long time. Last time, the lamb shwarma was dry so tried the chicken this time..very nice and good value at €22. However, the mixed grill kebab at €23 incurred a surcharge of €4, which is not good value. The lamb okra was awful..4 little bits of meat, way too much okra, in a watery bland tomato "soup". Service, while friendly, was really slow throughout, more staff are required on a busy Friday evening. Byo alcohol with no cover charge is a bonus.
