You can’t get better fish and chips in the Ennis area than Vesuvios. Really fresh and so tasty. It’s the best I’ve ever had!

Old Ground Hotel

08/10/2025: Beautiful hotel, great location. Grounds and rooms were beautiful. Only stayed here for 1 night but it was so nice and comfortable, I wish it would’ve been longer. Restaurant was amazing! Great food, great drinks, wonderful staff!
08/10/2025: Went for a celebration meal. Al was top.Service and caring about dietary requirements for health reasons was taken care of very seriously.Thank you so much for making this evening a memorable day.

25/09/2025: Went for lunch Saturday.. the staff could not have been more helpful with an above and beyond service attitude. It's very hard to find this level of service anymore. We were travelling for work. I really wanted a proper steak. They sorted me out with request including dietary needs. Tasty food, steak cooked as requested. Wholesome food. We did only try the steak. Highly recommended. Nice toilets, nice room, comfy seating and decent sized tables. Will be backif back in Ennis!. Thanks all!
04/09/2025: Good food and nice staffs but plain environment. I thought lamb cutlets would be a fried one but actually it's similar to US version of a lamb shank. I ordered a lamb shank but that's not what I expected.
