Excellent cafe - we were travelling from Roscommon to Donegal town & thankfully chose this cafe. I had the scrambled eggs with sourdough & my husband had poached eggs option & they were fabulous. Americano was so good I had two. We would highly recommend Vintage Lane Cafe. Note: it’s open Wednesday to Saturday only.

Helen and Ciaran went above and beyond for my group of 25 people. We stopped for brunch on our way to a hen in Donegal from Sligo. Helen had the tables beautifully decorated and welcomed us with a smile. The food was beautiful and good portions too. Our group ended up late due to a bus mix up and the guys at Vintage Lane took it in their stride and put no pressure on the group for being late. Thanks again to Ciaran and Helen. Looking forward to the next visit!

Love visiting your establishment with my service user. The staff are always inviting, helpful and friendly. Best Iced lattes and the sausage rolls are incredible! The cafe is cute and has a lovely warm atmosphere, and the girls serving us are always friendly and helpful. We appreciate you! ✨🌹

A very nice little cafe in the Craft Village – good coffee, good cakes, and friendly service. You can stay overnight in the large parking lot.

Vintage Lane Café is an absolute gem — the kind of place you stumble into once and keep coming back to. The charm hits you straight away — warm lighting, comfy seats, and that proper cosy feel that makes you want to stay a while. The coffee’s spot on — smooth, full of flavour, and made with care. And the food? Ah, it’s lovely. Homemade cakes, fresh bakes, and toasties that hit the spot. Nothing pretentious, just good honest grub done right. What really makes it though is the people. The staff are pure sound — friendly, genuine, and always up for a bit of chat. You feel looked after, not just served. Whether you're looking to relax, catch up with a friend, or just hide away from the world for a bit, Vintage Lane is the perfect spot. Go once and you’ll be hooked.

So, leaving Sligo since we couldn't go to Slieve League, on our way to Derry on Saturday, we saw a sort of antiques roadside market and came across this place where we enjoyed a delicious soup of the day and a tasty sandwich, which in our case was chorizo and chicken... delicious. Looking forward to trying the coffee and cakes they had. A charming and pleasant place.

Sneem Hotel

04/08/2025: Went for a meal and would like a weekend there...great food in a modern, bright and well maintained setting. Good traditional Irish friendly welcome and atmosphere.
28/07/2025: Lovely hotel but for price point would have expected better. We booked a room with a balcony which was quite spacious but I felt the bathroom was too small. I was looking forward to a relaxing bath but it felt too confined & when my partner went to try it out, the water had a brownish hue so that put me off completely. Could get rid of desk area with mirror & extend bathrooms, especially in the balcony rooms. The balcony itself was very big & had stunning views, but again needs some maintenance, boards falling at the side & a bad finish to the front, again for the price point would expect better. Was disappointed on check in that the receptionist called out our room number when other people around the lobby, if I was travelling alone, I would have asked for my room to be changed. We were advised on check in there was live music in the bar @ 9pm so we came down to have a drink & to check it out, but there was no music on & no real atmosphere, so we went back to our room to chill out. Breakfast was ok, sausages & eggs where good but did not enjoy the rest. Apple juice was very watered down & tasted more like water. Overall, will love to come back to Sneem, but don't think we will book this hotel, sadly.
