Vocella’s in Longford

Firstly, I have uploaded the latest menu - because some old ones are still listed on Google mentioning pizzas and all. It’s a good restaurant at the heart of the city - very well located and easily accessible. Definitely a very popular place among the locals. The staff was very courteous and nice - both the ladies were amazing and kind 😊🙏 My only slight disappointment was the quality of food. It was all made fresh but it was not as good. Especially if I look at the price, I didn’t feel it to be value for money. Like the pasta and sandwich both didn’t feel very good. Pasta had too much sauce in it (probably the one you get over the shelf in a Tesco/Dunnes) and the sandwich was also very basic … So that was my only disappointment. Maybe my experience was one off as they have very good reviews from others. I do hope some more variety and taste gets added 🙌

Wonderful service. We had a couple of pasta dishes that were very good. The service was very good.

Fantastic food, friendly service, and a nice atmosphere. They had GF pasta for a family member and everyone liked what they had. If I’m ever back in Longford, I will happily eat here again.

Staff accommodated us although we did nit have a reservation. The food was great as the service.

What a great lunch stop on our way to Sligo. Excellent homemade soup-tomato and basil. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

Had an amazing meal tonight, but when we tried to tip at the end we were told they couldn't take tips by card (tapping our phone). Pretty please find a way to take tips, we left feeling just aweful about it as we had no cash on us at all, and being revolut users we didn't have a single physical card between us to use the atm. We'll make sure to bring some cash next time, but cash is dieing, don't let your tips die with it, you deserve them for the fantastic service and quality ❤️

Great food options for vegetarians and vegans. The service could be improved with a warmer and more polite approach toward customers.

We arrived without pre booking on our journey from Donegal to Dublin. They were fairly full but managed to find a table for 2. Very accommodating, friendly staff, great menu choices, food was wonderful. Will definitely return. Thank you.
