We’ve been coming to Walkabout for a few years now and it never disappoints. Trent is always incredibly friendly and welcoming, the coffee is excellent and the sausage rolls are absolutely divine. The cheeseburger sausage roll deserves a special mention — genuinely one of the nicest things we’ve eaten in a long time! Brilliant food, great coffee and lovely people. Always worth a stop when you’re in Cootehill.

15/09/2026: Stopped here for a spot of lunch on a busy Saturday. Our food came quickly and was absolutely delicious. This was my first time having Irish stew and it did not disappoint!! The flavour was rich and you could tell it was good quality ingredients. Meat wasn’t too chewy and practically melted in the mouth. My partner had a burger and fries which he really enjoyed. I also loved dipping a few of his fries into my stew!! Would come again :)

06/08/2026: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ What an incredible dining experience at John J. Burke's in Clonbur! The food was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. We had the burgers, which were cooked to perfection and packed with flavour. My daughter had the fish and chips, and she said it was one of the best she's ever had. We couldn't leave without trying dessert, and we're so glad we did! From the rich chocolate brownie to the freshly made cheesecake, everything was homemade and simply delicious. Honestly, it's some of the best food we've had since dining in Michelin-starred restaurants in Abu Dhabi. The quality, freshness, and attention to detail were exceptional. The atmosphere was just as wonderful as the food, with traditional Irish music creating the perfect warm and welcoming setting. A huge compliment to everyone at John J. Burke's. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Clonbur! Thanks again Steven, Alison Willow from Donegal ❤️
