I visited this café on Sunday and ordered an Americano and the chorizo and egg omelet. Unfortunately, the experience wasn't as pleasant as expected. The sourdough bread was hard, and the butter was served in a messy little bowl. What concerned me most was that the staff, without wearing any hygiene gloves, took orders and then handled the bread and food directly.
This café has a great reputation, especially for its tea selection, which likely explains why it's always busy. However, the staff seemed visibly tired, and service felt rushed. I was asked what I wanted to order immediately upon sitting, with no chance to settle in. The table hadn’t been cleaned quickly, and when I tried to sit down before ordering, I was told I couldn’t do so until I had placed my order—quite an impressive approach to service that day.
Despite the disappointing service, the atmosphere remains cozy and unchanged since my first visit back in 2013.

Very clean and well run cafe with incredible food. Eggs cooked to perfection onto a generous portion of Sourdough softly toasted bread with real butter and cracked sea salt on top, love the cups and plates by the way, food served along with eye popping serving of avocado on the side. I could eat it all day, the place smells like heaven with all the Tea aromas. A true Gem.

Wide selection of teas, good coffee and a nice atmosphere with a little garden out the back. Service is usually good.

I went with a friend for brunch this weekend. It was busy. I ordered the chorizo and eggs. What arrived was beautiful bread with an egg that tasted like heaven with whatever spices they had put onto it.
The meal was so good, my friend had the Tuna melt sandwich, which looked delicious with the melted cheese.
The waitress was so helpful - we were sitting downstairs, and I had asked her for 2 glasses of water when our food arrived, they serve filtered water, which more places should do.
Although it was busy, the vibe was great, the music in particular was so cool. the crowd was young and relaxed, some people working, some with Dogs and some with their kids. Nice neighbourhood feel.

I have visited here a lot over the last few months and am always so happy with the experience. The Product on offer is excellent quality, and its consistent. I eat here too often and am always content leaving, never feel bloated as the use good simple ingredients, and everything is NOT covered in sauce which seems to be a trend now.. It is also such a great place to come alone too, so relaxing to read or work.
They have a Garden out back, which is like an oasis of calm. A special mention of the owner(s) , one of them (tall guy) who is always nice to the staff but at the same time you can see he has high standards and insists on them in a clear and appropriate manner. This is obviously what has made the place great, or in fact any business great, along with the Staff who seem to get it too, that it’s a café about the overall experience, that quality matters. I wish he would run a course for some other cafes!. Visit early or mid morning for best experience as it can get busy around lunch time.

Myself and a friend, were there today. The aroma of the many teas available, was really nice. The staff were very friendly. We went downstairs to a really nice chilled out room, with nice chairs and the cool sounds that were playing, created a really nice vide.

I said to the staff I loved the visit to Dublin and this store was my favourite stop, and I also said I would tell everyone .. so here I am :). If you have the time to venture a little outside the centre of the city to try something more authentic then this is a spot you should put on your list.
It has an old world charm but it's modern, it is clean and the food is fresh and all home baked.
The Tea is by far the best in the city and the coffee people rave about it too.. although I only drank Tea. Owner is really knowledgeable and friendly if you get a chance to corner him. Go!.

I went in here for lunch yesterday and was blown away by the choice of teas. I had an Assam and a sandwich and both were amazing I would recommend this place to anyone. There were breakfast lunch and brunch options and the staff were all very helpful

A Dublin institution, a must visit for anyone coming to Dublin. A great selection of top quality Tea, Coffee and food. Really a perfect way to pass an hour or two, never feel rushed and always leave happy.
Service is good, prompt and prices are fair. Staff always happy, no wonder it's mostly the same faces you see in there all the time. I would highly recommend a visit.
