Walters is a beautiful place in George's street Dun Laoire. Fabulous interior, beautifully designed and decorated. Brilliant attentive staff and they have wonderful entertainment.

Very nice atmosphere, good music. I recommend going there with friends and enjoying the music and a beer.

The pub was overall okay. There was a Jazz Band playing (Sunday evening) and they were good. If you're there for food and to have a conversation, you might, like me, tend to go to the back area of the pub, which is more quiet, but not as nice as the front. The food was good. Vegetarian options are available, mainly Asian Dishes like Curry or Stir Fry. My only real issue was the service. The staff was overall nice, but after getting our drinks and food, no one looked after us for the rest of the evening. No asking if everything was okay, if we wanted more drinks, if we would like to see the dessert menu. That is normally something you would do, instead of silently rushing in and taking our empty plates. I'd understand if it was very busy, but it really wasn't. Staff was standing like 5 Meters from our table and blankly looking through me, trying to signal that I wanted to pay. This evening could have gone from okay to great if only the staff was a little more attentive.

A new happy discovery!! Walters 20 years ago was a very different place, but not now. I had the pick of the bunch to invite my friends for a catch up in Dun Laoghaire and I straight away chose Walters. It’s a very inviting, quirky, warm place. Full of character, art of the walls, and obvious love of good drinks but also great food, and happy staff that seem to want to make your experience here a good one!! Table service is very good, as is the walk up bar service. My friends had the prawn Nasi Goreng which gave me total food envy as soon as it arrived!! There’s an amazing ‘function room’ upstairs that hosts live music, and other performances, and can possibly be hired out. It’s not acoustically isolated but has a main stairway so you can control entry. There are so many ‘fun’ and unique places to sit here. For someone that likes to explore or see the differences in life, this is for you!!
