We stayed across the road from weird so we ate lunch and dinner here. Every meal was 10 out of 10. The steak was perfectly cooked, the chicken was beautiful, wings fab, sea food chowder amazing to the home baked bread and all the home made deserts were all delicious. Would highly recommend Weirs. The service was quick and all the staff so friendly. A gem in a small village.

Went for Sunday dinner today and brought my parents with me. We got a table booked online. The staff were welcoming and friendly. We ordered our food not long after we sat down at our table and within 5 minutes our food arrived. My mum and I both got the signature chicken dish and my dad had the salmon dinner on special. The food was so fresh and tasty. I then ordered apple crumble for desert and it was beautiful. The Restaurant is lovely, it's very unique with a country style finish and the tables are nicely spread out so nobody is on top of others and listening to private conversations. The sheltered Beer Garden/outdoor dining area is lovely as well, it's small and cosy. Lovely to be out there on a sunny day. It was our first time experiencing this restaurant and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We'll definitely make it a regular thing. Thanks again for a wonderful experience

Great spot. Love it. It's our go-to spot when we have people visiting and want to bring them somewhere cool / authentic Irish. Food is always great and the service is excellent. We'll be back again!

We only heard of Weir’s recently, despite living only 20 minutes away for two years. We had been warned that sometimes service can be a little slow, although our experience could not have been more efficient- we couldn’t have asked for better service throughout the meal. The atmosphere was very nice. The food was great- I had wings (very good), a steak (great, perfectly cooked), and the sticky toffee pudding. Our table also had the bread and butter pudding. The desserts were the star for us. Exceptional. I’m not sure if they make them on site, but if they do then massive credit to the chef. Will be back again, and often

I’d give it 3 1/2 (but it’s not an option).
- Place itself is nice, relaxed atmosphere, lots of memorabilia on the walls, nice covered outdoor space with some plants.
- The tables inside are very close together, some really uncomfortably so.
- The food was good, rainbow trout was very good, the feather blade beef, Caesar salad, and wings were good but nothing special. Portions are on the small side and price is a little higher than you’d usually pay.
- Draught 0 Heineken tasted a bit off.
- Service was fine.
- Pets allowed in the outdoor seating area.
- 4 mains along with 3 non alcoholic drinks came to €100.

I was traveling to Ireland from Florida with my parents and this was our first stop after landing in Dublin and renting our car. This pub is as welcoming and authentic as you can get. The Weirs are a lovely family who run an outstanding pub and restaurant. The food was delicious (especially the Irish beef burger and fish and chips) and to top it off the owner and his daughter chatted with us for a good half hour giving us tips and local insight into fishing, sightseeing, and music. If we would have known ahead of time all this area has to offer we would have stayed a few more days in the Westmeath region. Definitely worth it to stop in and say hello. The chocolate brownie was delightful. We will be visiting again.

Beautiful food & wonderful service as always at Weirs last night. Hosts are attentive, always friendly and always have a story to share.
Our American friends loved them and said it was best food they've eaten on their trip. Thanks so much Weir's.

Came with brother for a few pints on a Sunday afternoon.
Multy is a small village and yet Pat Weir can get the customers coming from miles around to eat in his popular restaurant -which is no mean feat these days - the place was absolutely heaving with all tables full and people eating and enjoying what looked like decent food served.
But we were here for the beer and the pints, and we had to wait a good while at the bar to be served - which was a bit annoying - but I guess all staff were busy on deck - so to speak - with the food orders. Fair enough.
After a long wait - we finally got our orders - Guinness and a Birra Moretti - good to see it on tap - and served cold. Great.
Both drinks were fine - and we had a good few of them.
The bar side of things there wasn't much atmosphere or banter, or chat with staff - I guess the small window for eating takes precedence. Again fair enough.
Anyway. Beers were good. Bar service could be better. Must come back when there isn't a stampede on the food and is less hectic! Was pretty much the experience of drinking in a busy restaurant!

According to my partner this is the first time in 5 years he has seen me eat my whole meal in a restaurant! It was so delicious I just had to, plus dessert which was divine (gluten free brownie in case you're curious)
