West County Hotel in Dublin

Food wasn't great. Friendly service though

Came to Dublin for a few days for my partners birthday & St. Patrick’s day. Our flights were v.cheap but when it came to booking a hotel if we wanted to be central we were looking at 300+ a night. Obviously hotels in v.high demand during St. Paddy’s day weekend. We decided to take a chance & book The west county hotel - a little further out than we’d like & it looked a little dated compared to what we’re used to - but for the price we risked it. And I’m so glad we did! The staff were so friendly & accommodating. The hotel itself is a little dated, but we expected that. Our room was spacious, v. clean, tidy and had all we needed. There’s a bar, restaurant - breakfast was included & we enjoyed it - no complaints. There’s free parking, a bus stop right outside & taxi’s into Dublin were very easy to come by, both ways. Even taking into account what we spent on public transport every day, this hotel was still a third of the price we’d have paid had we stayed central. All in all a great base, a fab little find & I’d recommend to anyone wanting to explore Dublin.

Liked this place but not its location

Went for dinner with my friend and have to say from the minute we entered we were greeted by a very friendly bar manager and his staff the food was delicious and hot.

Good wholesome hotel with great traditional food and friendly service. Great value in food.

Overall a good location, but a few euros should be spent on maintenance. The room entrance door works terribly, the shower and sink drain terribly, the carpet should be replaced with a good standard laminate floor.

Nice spot for a drink and the food is outstanding lovely staff.

Quiet. Staff was really friendly. Comfortable. Breakfast was really good bed. Beds are decent. Reasonably priced.

If you are coming to Dublin come to this place! I found it by random search and it was excellent, very quiet, very safe, and comfortable beds with big beautiful windows. Bathrooms are very clean and good showers. The breakfast is great as well, they have a menu but you can also ask for custom plates. It is about 15-20 minutes drive to center of Dublin. The service was also very very good, both staff at the front desk and at the restaurant were very nice all the time! I will definitely come back here again! The price was also very reasonable for the quality! They cleaned the rooms every day and it was very beautiful!
