West Wicklow House in Blessington

Nice and friendly staff, clean place, great outdoor area to eat in the sun. Good food. My wife and I ordered curry, chicken burger and wings. The curry was good but the chicken was not what you would expect in a curry, it was tough. The burger was great, a bit dry and the chicken was a bit tough but the buns were unforgettable. The wings were disappointing, they were overcooked until the meat and bones were crunchy, it was not tasty and unpleasant. The sauce was thin, not worth eating.

Group of 6. Beef roast and burgers - both delicious. One of my friends had a birthday and I just asked the staff to put a candle on a cake and had no idea that 5 of them will come to the terrace and sing “Happy Birthday”, it was such a nice surprise. Brilliant! Will definitely come back. 👏🏼

Edit: I had a response on my no vegetarian options and apparently there are, perhaps not clear enough cos both husband and i looked. But if there are veg options then this is 5 star. Honestly great, good service, good food. a star lost because there were no vegetarian options.

Amazing food , amazing atmosphere , staff so helpful welcoming and friendly would highly recommend for a quick bite to eat or for an occasion.

Just popped in by chance about 5.30 on a Sunday as we were looking for a Sunday roast. There are 3 options beef, chicken and turkey & ham served with stuffing, roast potato, mashed potato, cabbage and Carrotts with gravy. We ordered the turkey and ham, didn't have to wait too long. Place was busy and there was a nice vibe. Really enjoyable and felt the price was OK for what we got. Will defo be back

Our second time visiting here. The food is very decent for bar food. Good variety on the menu and prices are standard. Staff are nice. Can be quite loud with music playing but that’s to be expected in a bar. The roast is great.
