This is for specifically the Newmarket-on-Fergus truck. Excellent stuff, always crispy and served up with kindness. Special mention for the perfect onion rings; crispy golden halos with a mouth watering crunch that go right through the onion, no fallout, no tearaway - literally perfect.

My friend and i visited here for the first time today we only had to wait a short while and was so worth it, it's the best takeaway fish and chips we've had by far. Great portion size, came with a pot of mushy peas, slice of lemon and tartar sauce....absolutely delicious highly recommended

I’ve been so looking forward to trying Ryan’s chipper and I have to say it didn’t disappoint. I had the fish and chips and my son had the burger (amazing in his words) we were both very happy with our food. The girl behind the counter was friendly and welcoming too. We’ll definitely be back.

O'Donohues Pub

10/09/2026: Having "escaped" Doolin because all the pubs were packed, we returned to Fanore, near our B&B. We ate very well in this very well-kept pub, with a varied menu and a very friendly owner. Fair prices. There was no live music (I don't know if there is on other nights). An excellent alternative to Doolin. Recommended!
08/09/2026: Adorable little pub in a really cute, cozy blue house with coastal views that would draw tears from a rock. Descended upon them in an excursion bus and they managed exceptionally well despite the vast number of tourists who couldn't follow basic direction. Pints went down almost too easy and chefs should be eligible for Thai citizenship with the unexpectedly delicious massaman curry and rice. Fish and chips were sublime. Also had the soup of the day (carrot and ginger) and I swear it hugged me from within. Bartender was a grumpy uncle in a really cool, chic seaside way.
