I’ve been so looking forward to trying Ryan’s chipper and I have to say it didn’t disappoint. I had the fish and chips and my son had the burger (amazing in his words) we were both very happy with our food. The girl behind the counter was friendly and welcoming too. We’ll definitely be back.

Had my first Irish fish and chips here today and was thoroughly impressed. The food itself was delicious, we ordered the fish and chips and battered sausages and the freshness and flavour of the fish was second to none. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help us including lending us some change for the local public toilet. Would definitely be back and recommend this place for other people!

One of the best takeaways I’ve had. Food is restaurant quality, batter is unbelievable, curry sauce amazing, scampi I’d be delighted to get in an end of restaurant, chips are fresh, crispy, fluffy. You know it’s top tier when they don’t do delivery and it gets you off the couch time and time again to collect yourself! As they advertise themselves “good food not fast food” is a great way to describe Ryan’s. They are a local family too which is important and they seem great lads!

Here visiting in Ennis and decided to try this fish and chips shop. The batter was light and crispy and the fish was fresh. Quite delicious. The tartar sauce was very tasty also. The onion rings had the same batter as the fish and were very good.
I was not as impressed with the fries (oops, chips) but that may be because I prefer mine crispier. While sightseeing in another city today, the chips I saw being served to others were similar so it may be just me.
The owner Ryan was personable and helpful with selections. Prices were reasonable and portions were generous.
Bottom line: Delicious food served piping hot at a decent price.

Decent chipper, garlic sauce ok good cheese. Only thing that brought my score down was that a higher charge of 6.80 was taken and not the advertised cost of 6.00. I don't like to see charges that arent a true reflection of the menu

Great food at Ryans Fish Chips! The burger was juicy, and the battered sausage had a perfectly light and crispy coating. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Special thanks to the lovely staff member who kindly offered me free battered sausage such a thoughtful gesture!!

I waited 3 years to get my hands on their grub and it was actually worth the wait. Curry chips were unreal, nicest battered sausage I've ever had and the smash burger was top notch. Definitely going to be hitting this chipper every time I'm back in Ennis.

Outstanding fish and chips and very nice folks. Smoked haddock was delicious, first time I've had it anywhere. Prawns and haddock both as fresh as can be and a nice light batter.
