We recently visited to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary. It's our 3rd time to stay in the Wineport and it never disappoints. From the spa treatments, lunch, dinner, wine, and room everything was amazing. Staff so so nice and made sure we had everything we needed for our two night stay. The sauna is a fabulous addition with stunning views. Can't wait to go back again!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Exceptional Stay at Wineport Lodge We’ve just returned from a fantastic two-night stay at Wineport Lodge with colleagues, and I cannot speak highly enough about the experience. From the moment we arrived, everything was outstanding. The rooms were spectacular — beautifully designed, spotlessly clean, and incredibly comfortable, with stunning views that made it a truly special place to stay. The food was equally impressive; every meal felt like a real culinary experience. What truly made our stay exceptional, however, was the people. We had a number of requests outside the norm to support our working arrangements during the trip, and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Each and every staff member went out of their way to help, always finding solutions with genuine warmth and professionalism. A special thank you to Ray and Glenn for making us feel so welcome from the start. Brendan was incredibly patient with us and ensured every request was handled perfectly, and Kash was an outstanding host who made our dining experiences particularly memorable. It’s clear that everyone at Wineport Lodge is passionate about what they do, and that passion shines through in every interaction. I would return without hesitation — next time with my family so they can experience it too.

Fantastic dinner experience at Wineport Lodge on Monday night. Everything about the evening was exceptional. A special thank you to Ray for coming over to chat with us and for looking after us so well. Emilie in the restaurant provided excellent service, Jason in the bar (apologies again for calling him Conor!), and Ella May at reception kindly showed us around the beautiful rooms. We also loved the ice cream cart demonstration — thank you to Amy (I hope I have her name right!). The Côte de Boeuf was absolutely amazing and definitely deserves a special mention. This was my third time dining at Wineport Lodge, but the rest of the group were visiting for the first time and they were blown away. We genuinely couldn’t fault the experience and will definitely be back again soon.

We enjoyed a very relaxing stay at the Wineport this week with its stunning views over Lough Ree. The service and the food was top class, and the atmosphere in the hotel was so cosy and comfortable, with stove fires dotted around the place. Staff couldn’t do enough to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The highlight for us was the Cedarwood Spa, we just loved the design of it overlooking the lake. The floating hot tubs and sauna area outdoors was the real treat as we sipped on a glass of bubbly while enjoying the experience and the views, despite the misty day..! So relaxing and very well managed with time slots to make it feel personal and private. Thank you, we will be back! Mary

Just home having had afternoon tea at the Wineport. Only tiny fly in the ointment of a beautiful afternoon with my Mum was a group of tipsy (and rudely loud) middle aged ladies who didn't once seem to realise they were not the only people in the room. The staff as always are warm, welcoming and extremely professional. The afternoon tea was elegant and delicious. The room itself was beautiful, and the view....just spectacular ✨️

My best friend and I stayed at Wineport Lodge in Athlone with my for a much-needed catch-up, and from the moment we arrived, everything was simply perfect. On a grey, dreary winters evening, the lodge felt incredibly warm and welcoming — we were greeted with a hot drink on arrival and such a friendly reception that instantly set the tone for our stay. We were very kindly upgraded to a family room, with additional beds, double vanities and under floor heating in the bathroom really was a welcomed luxury. The room overlooked the beautiful banks of Lough Ree, and waking up to that peaceful view was a delight. We enjoyed a lovely meal and cocktails in the bar, where the young men serving us provided outstanding service — attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly. Overall, Wineport Lodge delivered a relaxing and memorable experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, great food, and exceptional hospitality. Will definitely be returning with my husband and recommending to family.
