I’ve tried a fair few burger places around Dublin, but Wowburger definitely has its own character. It’s got that fun, retro American diner vibe—neon signs, bold colours, and a kind of casual coolness that makes it a good spot for a relaxed bite with friends or family.
What I really like is the freedom to build your own burger. You don’t get charged extra for toppings, so you can go wild with grilled onions, jalapeños, pickles, all the sauces—whatever you’re into. The garlic butter fries are another winner: salty, rich, and addictive. It’s the kind of thing you crave once you’ve had it once. That said, it’s not perfect. The burgers are on the smaller side, especially considering the price. And while the Ranelagh branch has always been friendly and efficient in my experience, not every location delivers the same quality. I’ve had fries that were a bit soggy and the odd overly greasy burger, but that seems to vary depending on when and where you go.
Would I go back? Definitely—for the garlic fries, the shakes, and when I’m in the mood for something tasty and casual. Just don’t go in expecting a giant gourmet burger—this is more about the vibe, the toppings, and the fun of

I only continue to eat there because the burgers are amazing, but the chips are shrivelled and covered in oil and occasionally so salty that its impossible to eat.

Okay, let's add that stark reality to the end of the review, making it even clearer how pricey it could have been:
Review of Wow Burger, Ranelagh
So, I ordered from Wow Burger in Ranelagh recently through a third-party app that was offering free delivery, which was a bonus. The regular burger itself was pretty good, I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5 for taste.
However, even with the free delivery, the price for just a regular burger and an Oreo milkshake came to a hefty €24. Now, considering that ordering directly might have incurred a delivery charge starting at €4.99, the initial prices of the burger (€10 expected) and milkshake (€6 expected) already feel quite steep.
The Oreo milkshake was a decent size and standard enough, but I've certainly had similar ones for around €3.50 elsewhere.
Ultimately, while the free delivery was a nice perk through the app, it really highlights that the core prices at Wow Burger seem considerably high to begin with. To put it bluntly, if there hadn't been a free delivery promotion, this exact same order would have likely cost me approximately €30 (€24 + €4.99 minimum delivery), which feels like a serious hit to the wallet for a simple burger and milkshake. The burger was tasty, but the overall cost makes me seriously reconsider ordering again.
