10/10/2025: Their pad kee mao is not made with traditional flat noodles and with Chinese lo mein?? And when I received the take out order it doesn’t come with much at all. I’ve been to Thailand, I’m from New York City and everywhere else I’ve been to Pad Kee Mao has never been made without wide flat noodles. There’s also zero basil in this it’s very inauthentic. Its location is also in the back of a warehouse area? And nobody mans the front desk. My husband and I were standing at the front to order not being helped until he walked to the back to signal someone in the kitchen. When we finally got someone, we asked if they take Amex cards because we knew some places don’t take it in Ireland so we asked if we could ring up our order to check, and if it doesn’t work we’d come back with another card and she said she would not ring up the order until the food was prepared. What? I’m offering to pay before you even make the food for THEIR convenience. Makes no sense. 10/10 would not recommend.

26/10/2025: Food and drinks were delicious, however a rude staff member (think she was the floor manager) came over to us after 1 hour 20 and told us they needed the table and we had to leave. We were finishing our drinks when another nice staff member came over and apologized but again told us we had to leave. I enquired as to the length you usually get your table for - he told us 1 hour 45 generally. We had made our booking in advance, online and I even rang on the day to confirm the time so do not understand why we were continuously asked to leave. Poor service in my opinion, when the restaurant just wanted to capitalize on a busy Saturday night in the city. We are locals from Galway that will now think twice about returning.

24/09/2025: Not a great dining experience, and left with an empty stomach. I arrived at 6:45 on Sept 24, right before the dinner rush. We made reservations for 7pm, so we were a little early. Walking in, we realized that Apple Maps directed us towards a similar Dublin location, so we made reservations at the wrong restaurant. Fortunately, they were still able to accommodate us, so long as we were out by 7:45 as there was another table coming in. We sat, ordered drinks and food, and then began to wait. The drinks were delicious, the vibe was great. But we started to notice that other tables around us started getting their food before us. We waited, waited, waited. Our two servers never really visited our table in that period. Maybe we would've ordered another drink or something, idk, or they would realized our food was taking so long and said something to reassure us. It wasn't until 8:20 that I spoke up and asked for a status on our meals and we had been waiting over an hour. The server went to check on our order only to realize they never had any record of it, and needed us to place our order again. At this point, it was just so late, and we intentionally wanted an early dinner. We declined and asked for our check. Fortunately they comped our drinks, but at that point, it was kind of the least they could do. We left with empty stomachs and disappointment. I was very eager to eat here. I wish the experience didn't get messed up.

17/11/2025: Great experience in Buddha Bar Saturday 15th! Didn’t book a table but the staff were quick to get us a spot. The waitress serving us was lovely and a special shout out to Ben at the bar who really went above and beyond! The food & drinks were lovely and please pass on our thanks & compliments to Ben who also gave us some great recommendations for Galway! - Bill’s pals from Dublin

16/11/2025: As a local I've eaten at Buddha Bar several times over the years, but I think the meal this evening was the best yet! 2 pages of starters--huge selection of cocktails--mojito was GREAT! Order a starter of Chicken Satay Skewers, and main of Cantonese Orange Chicken-the orange sauce was perfect for the chicken, and the pineapple on top put it over the top! Presentation was great, and the food was excellent! The servers were friendly and attentive even though the restaurant was literally as full as it could possibly get. The time between the starters and mains was timed just right as well! Prices are excellent for Galway, and one couldn't ask for anything more! This may have to become the favorite restaurant!
