07/12/2025: A nice hotel just across the river from the centre of town. The rooms were good but look a little tired. I'd say the place was renovated in 2000 and was modern at the time but now a little worn and dated. The staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome. The breakfast was excellent especially the black and white pudding, and the tasty omelette made to order. The bar was good but it was hard to escape the music. The attached Thai restaurant was ok, again a bit worn and the food was nice but maybe a bit too reminiscent of take out. Best of all was the value!
