19/06/2026: I have went to kilcannon for years and it’s always been one of the best places to either get lunch or get flowers there flower selection is outstanding you would nearly get lost in it it’s that big and the restaurant I have no words for it that amazing the staff are elegant kind and caring the food is exquisite I usually get the soup and there’s always a different one and it never disappoints so I would highly recommend to go to kilcannon for either the wide selection of flowers or the outstanding food

10/07/2026: Very disappointing experience.
My wife and I spent over 100 euros on dinner here, expecting a pleasant evening. Instead, I found a fly in my Chick Stirfry. I immediately called the manager to show her the problem.
Rather than apologizing or taking responsibility, I was told that because we were sitting outside, the fly must have flown into my food after it was served. The situation was handled in a rude and unprofessional way. There was no apology, and I was still expected to pay for a dish I could not eat.
I left with a bad mood after paying so much for a ruined dinner and being treated with such disrespect. Avoid this place if you do not want your evening spoiled.
I would not recommend this restaurant based on the way this situation was handled.
24/06/2026: desperately lack ventilation
I stayed here during the summer, and the rooms do not have air conditioning. To make matters worse, the window was extremely small and wouldn't open more than a hand's span, meaning there was absolutely no air circulation. If a room doesn't have AC, the windows at least need to open fully. Aside from this major issue, everything else was very good—the hotel is beautiful, the spa is excellent, and the location right by the river offers a fantastic view. They just really need to improve the room ventilation.

09/07/2026: No stars for any of it use to love going here so went back after not been in it for a long time me my mam and daughter in law we had chicken panini that we couldn't eat the chicken was so tuff we left our food said it upon paying and all we got was a sorry nothing else not a mention of giving money off etc definitely wont be back ever again only putting one star because wont post without hitting one

21/07/2026: Lovely restaurant but avoid seats down the steps, impossible to chat. Lovely staff, food is lovely but both pizzas were over cooked with burnt crusts. Brusetta is the best you can eat.
14/07/2026: Went for dinner, absolutely amazing service. Seated 2 people very quickly especially considering how busy it was !
Starters came out quick after ordering and was absolutely stunning haven't tasted tomato's so fresh 😋!
Mains were also fast to arrive, and perfect, had the roast duck and the shrimp pasta, both beautifully cooked.
Finished off with two beautiful Creme Brules
Overall had an amazing time and will definitely be going again !!

09/06/2026: The hotel offers excellent service in a lovely setting, delicious food, and beautiful, spacious rooms. What more could you want? We were there with a tour group and lacked nothing.
01/06/2026: Disgraceful and unpleasant stay. Family of 3 (2 adults + 9yr old kid) Stayed for 2 nights(sleepless) in their Slaney Family suite room - Annex building (Room 605) .This is completely opposite of Treacy's hotel in other location. Holidays are meant to be pleasant stay but this isnt. KINDLY AVOID GOING HERE, and this definitely is not a 4 star hotel and heres why
- this room is 5 mins walk away from hotel (behind a weird apartment building) with very compact parking spaces
- Room itself is a complete disaster. See the pics attached. I took a video but couldnt attach here
* spiders everywhere
* found cockroach on the pillow
* Rugs are pitch dirty, cant roam in bare foot, even socks gets dirty within mins
* Broken room vents (dusty)
* Dirty bathroom with bugs in the shower area
* Mattress is worst. Low quality Spring mattress in a 4 start hotel.. omg thats insane.
* noisy atmosphere

I called and spoke with the lady in the front desk immediately after I saw the room as it was nothing as advertised. Explained everything to her but she offerred me a room in 2nd floor and alsl said all our rooms are the same. Obviosuly we couldnt move with all the luggage as there are no lifts in the building .
Never ever coming back..
