20/07/2026: We Went there for breakfast the 4?of us Sunday morning we were greeted by an amazing host who was so helpful and friendly.Folloing our meal she gave a rendition of a dong she wrote on the guitar to our amusement 👏👏🎸

19/06/2026: I have went to kilcannon for years and it’s always been one of the best places to either get lunch or get flowers there flower selection is outstanding you would nearly get lost in it it’s that big and the restaurant I have no words for it that amazing the staff are elegant kind and caring the food is exquisite I usually get the soup and there’s always a different one and it never disappoints so I would highly recommend to go to kilcannon for either the wide selection of flowers or the outstanding food

24/07/2026: Nice old fashioned place. We had coffee and cake and it was good. Toilets could do with a good clean and dust.

10/07/2026: For some unknown reason but done consistently so probably on purpose a large amount of whiskey bottles that by default come in some gift box type of packaging are removed from that original gift paper/cardboard/metal boxes and sold without them. First time I see something like this done in a store. On one occasion where I managed to find one bottle in a box (while 10 other bottles of exact same brand were without box on the shelf), I paid more than what the shelf price said - just because I took in a box vs without? On receipt I see it called out as "gift box"... lol.. that whiskey comes always in a box in every other store. Seems like a scam...

10/07/2026: Very disappointing experience. My wife and I spent over 100 euros on dinner here, expecting a pleasant evening. Instead, I found a fly in my Chick Stirfry. I immediately called the manager to show her the problem. Rather than apologizing or taking responsibility, I was told that because we were sitting outside, the fly must have flown into my food after it was served. The situation was handled in a rude and unprofessional way. There was no apology, and I was still expected to pay for a dish I could not eat. I left with a bad mood after paying so much for a ruined dinner and being treated with such disrespect. Avoid this place if you do not want your evening spoiled. I would not recommend this restaurant based on the way this situation was handled.

24/06/2026: desperately lack ventilation I stayed here during the summer, and the rooms do not have air conditioning. To make matters worse, the window was extremely small and wouldn't open more than a hand's span, meaning there was absolutely no air circulation. If a room doesn't have AC, the windows at least need to open fully. Aside from this major issue, everything else was very good—the hotel is beautiful, the spa is excellent, and the location right by the river offers a fantastic view. They just really need to improve the room ventilation.

14/07/2026: Went for dinner, absolutely amazing service. Seated 2 people very quickly especially considering how busy it was ! Starters came out quick after ordering and was absolutely stunning haven't tasted tomato's so fresh 😋! Mains were also fast to arrive, and perfect, had the roast duck and the shrimp pasta, both beautifully cooked. Finished off with two beautiful Creme Brules Overall had an amazing time and will definitely be going again !!

10/07/2026: The food was really great and the staff were lovely to deal with but I only noticed the memorabilia for the fascist Mussolini towards the end and it was incredibly off putting. I’ve seen responses to other reviews saying “it’s just an image” but the quotes on the memorabilia are awful given the historical context and it has completely ruined the restaurant for me. Would gladly return if these were taken down and apologised for
