Galo Chargrill in Enniscorthy

This was a great little spot! Our favourite of the 3 restaurants we visited in Enniscorthy. The food is good - they do a fun presentation of skewers, and the piri piri hotter sauce was appropriately fierce. The food was healthy and tasty - not hot by default, and a good selection of sides available beyond just chips. Great selection of Spanish wine! We had chicken peri peri and lamb cutlets - both great!

Fantastic little spot. Food is excellent

Were staying out in the country on a break away from Dublin and travelled in with the kids for a meal. First of all, the food was incredible. My wife's lamb was perfection. Kids loved their grub and gotta say the fries were to die for. Had a couple of issues with the service in that our waitress put my order in the waste paper bin by accident (easily done) as i have a very forgettable face. But when pasta came it was delicious. The host couldnt do enough for us after that and we were treated to free desserts and a glass of wine each. So redeemed almost completely but couldn't justify 5 star service unfortunately. But as i said, food could not be faulted and you know you ate in a caring kitchen when they ask how you like your lamb cooked. A great find to be honest. Even found us a table when fully booked. Would go back. Prices are higher but understandable considering the quality.

What a great find! Very tasty food with fresh ingredients served beautifully. Broad menu to suit all tastes. We had the garlic mushrooms to start and the mega burger for main course. It was all delicious. The skinny chips are very good. We saw other dishes coming out to tables that look very tasty, the steak and the chicken and prawn dishes on a skewer. We look forward to trying them next time. Hot plates delivered to the table for the starter. It's the little touches sometimes that make a big difference. Friendly welcoming staff. Lovely atmosphere, like a little piece of Portugal in Enniscorthy. Portuguese wine and beer served. Lucky for those living in the town! They have a private cozy with a table for two perfect for date night. ;) We look forward to going back regularly. It's definitely worth a detour into Enniscorthy when passing.

Lovely warm, friendly, family owned restaurant ..coming here for 23 years..love the food, friendly staff..good choice of food on the menu. Good price! Always a great experience here whether we eat in or do take out option!
