20/12/2025: This used to be a good place where I can get asian food. It’s about a year or more since I had food from here.
The portions were smaller, it got more expensive, and the taste is not as comforting anymore. I ordered the same dish I would get: peppercorn prawn and duck.
I left disappointed and wouldn’t prob go back if I’m paying for it.
17/11/2025: Great take away and dine in. The food is always delicious and take away is so fast. Regularly get sweet and sour chicken and kung po chicken because they are the best around.

28/12/2025: Came across the restaurant as it is near the B&B I was staying and was also craving some Chinese food. Food was really good and tasty and service was absolutely wonderful. Would totally recommend!
04/11/2025: I was very disappointed when I went here because I cannot consume MSG. Their menu was not available online so I went there and literally every item including mixed vegetables and soup has MSG. Had to go elsewhere

21/11/2025: Food is absolutely beautiful and the owners obviously have pride in there food iv been there nearly once a week every week and always consistent. The staff and owners are very well mannered and pleasant and they are making great progress everytime I visit and there very family orientated which is good and also the orders are always perfect they never miss a thing , all the best for the future 😀

28/02/2026: Put in an order of over €100 tonight. The chicken and cheese rolls were disgusting, and they’re normally good. The chips were soggy and we ordered a portion of meat sung and we were given shreds of brown putrid leaves - it looked like it was left in the back of a fridge for a year. Pls avoid this place if you don’t want to 💀 early 🫶🫶
23/02/2026: Food is ok here, only ok. But do not ever complain if you get bad food. I did, and every time i went back, i was reminded of my complaint. The lady there is a real horrible person to deal with too. Won't ever be back.

15/03/2026: Drove half an hour to the location , have ordered multiple times before , have had sit down meals multiple times before also,rang twice for collection and no answer , got there at 8:20pm and lady at desk told me I couldn’t order they are closed as a “special day” , this was advertised nowhere , really unprofessional for people travelling in to order and they did not seen apologetic . After years of attending I won’t be attending again .
15/03/2026: Zweton. CASTLETROY Restaurant.
Family of 4, Mother's day treat, 6.00pm. We had to ask twice for our order to be taken. Starters came out in good enough time. After a long wait there was no sign of our main courses. When I asked about our order, the reply I got was "yeah yeah it's coming". A further 15 minutes I had to go to the reception area and I was gestured that they were coming. Then.....4 bowls of rice and 2 main courses arrive. After another 15 minutes, the 2 other mains hadn't arrived. As I got up to enquire, the 2 remaining mains were brought out. I mentioned that the 2 people who had received theirs had almost finished. The waiter/manager (I presume) basically said we are very busy, sorry. I replied fair enough but we would all like to have eaten our meals together. Quite agitated he replied "Ive already apologised, do you still want your food?". Yes, we ate our food but the evening was ruined...and paid full price. I wont be going back to the Castletroy Restaurant in a hurry.
