10/09/2024: Lovely beef cheeks dinner and my partner had tasty chicken fillet burger. The beef was excellent quality and the chicken was soft and delicious. There was a wedding on there at the time and we weren’t waiting too long to get our food, which is impressive. They serve Guinness 0.0 from cans which was ideal for me driving.
01/09/2024: Loads of parking, nice lawn with tables out the back, Had a Thai chiclen curry with rice and chips €20. Tasty, hot, not too spicy and ample portion size. Excellent service despite it being a Sat evening and us in scruffy hiking gear... Clean and bright interior.

20/05/2024: Best pub I’ve visited in Ireland. A nice quiet spot with the only toilets that didn’t reek of piss. Also there was an elderly cat that passed through. Wonderful. Please be mindful and quiet if you visit.

09/12/2024: Three of us were out for a celebratory lunch at Monks. We had the prawns and chowder to start. The prawns were cooked to perfection and were quite flavoursome. The chowder contained plenty of fresh fish and was seasoned correctly. For our main, we ordered the seafood platter and it was just exquisite. Everything was so fresh and cooked perfectly. We noticed how warm and cosy the restaurant was.....even the rest rooms were warm. There was a lovely stove fire burning which made us forget the fact that storm Darragh was looming.....The accommodation looks really nice also, and we are even making plans to return for an overnight stay with our canine buddies! I highly recommend Monks, a beautiful experience awaits!

08/12/2024: Monk's delivers expertly on two levels. First, they are a fantastic restaurant, featuring some of the best seafood you will find anywhere. Second, they have that cozy feel of an authentic Irish pub. The restaurant is light and airy, with several open spaces in which to dine. We enjoyed great customer service as well. Monk's is a true winner!
