02/10/2025: Absolute gem in Charleville. We were passing through as tourists from the U.K. The staff were so warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Authentically Irish and full of character. It was pouring with rain outside and it was so cosy and warm in there pub/restaurant. The food was delicious, piping hot and my partner also enjoyed his Guinness. Thanks so much! Would recommend.

27/12/2025: Food was absolutely horrible got chicken wings and a chicken burger wings had no taste and chicken was of poor quality the chicken burger was absolutely terrible took 2 bites and felt sick chicken was pink and rubbery

20/12/2025: Despite living a short distance from here i had never been inside this buisness until today, What a beautiful bar and restaurant. Warm welcoming,and beautifully decorated for Christmas.The whole place is spotless.The staff extremely helpful and friendly. We had the full Irish... Delicious, and full of flavor. the rashers ,sasuages pudding and the beans were amazing. And a proper pot of tea. Definitely we will be back... Highly recommended . The owners should be very proud....

10/12/2025: I have to say everything about our stay was desperate!! I complained on check out and was told the manager would call me, that never happened. The pool was disgusting, I used the family changing room - hair and scum all over the floor and I saw 3 plasters around the pool area! the room was big but lacked basic safety for the kids(no back on the remote , TV cables hanging out) and stains all over the carpet and just run down! We went for dinner in the bar, bare in mind I had a 4 year old and a 1 year old with me. We waited an hour for dinner for it to be served cold, breakfast the next day was beyond basic! The only reason I choose this hotel was because of the Santa experience. It was meant to be a Santa sing along lunch! I was expecting elves on a stage with space for the kids to dance in-between courses! It was 3 hours of 2 randoms singing in the middle of a restaurant with no area for the kids to dance and they weren't involved in the singing and we had to wait 3 hours to see Santa, the food was rank and cold! We were lucky it stopped raining so we brought the kids outside to run around for a bit! And the hotel had no kids area even though it's advertised as a family hotel, the lobby wasn't even big enough for them to play in and don't start me on how poor the decorations were 🙈 And to top it all off there was 2 weddings on in the hotel that night and our room was right over the "smoking area" so there was noise till all hours! I genuinely feel so bad for the staff working there, the lack of organisation and the poor facilities meant the service was terrible!

09/12/2025: Dinner was 1 hour late ,i orderd medium rare steak and peppercorn sauce .. got steak so overcooked i had to spit it out and it had knorr demi glace as the sauce ......breakfast was a joke ...no orange juice .pastries ???the few that were available were stale ...3 or 4 staff standing around cleaning tables in an almost empty room ,when people are there waiting to bep acknowledged .never mind being served .and staff getting annoyed and quite abrubt cos you ask for coffee... ...the circle k across the road makes a nice breakfast roll ...that is where i went for breakfast .....ive stayed in almost every hotel in ireland and this is the worst for customer service at breakfast ...im sort of shocked tbh ....good points..rooms are spotless ......reception staff are so nice and plenty of parking. ...i would not go back here again The coffe was good btw
