The best restaurants in Ardara

13/08/2026: One of the best seafood chowder i have had. Ate there 3 nights in a row but avoid Wednesday when the pub fare is not available and a pizza company takes over for the night. Unless of course you like pizza but i thought they were rather bog standard.

07/08/2026: Just the perfect Irish Pub. Great bar; lots of small rooms making an excellent, but intimate, atmosphere; wonderful beer and very good food. The service is as friendly and helpful as you will find anywhere. I had the fish and chips with mushy peas which were very good.

12/08/2026: Great service, fresh fish and a very generous portion, veg perfect. Don't normally post but this restaurant is great. Simple, clean and friendly.

08/08/2026: Has to be the best cafe in county Donegal. The breakfast is unreal. Staff are all very friendly and well trained. Wonderful.

15/07/2026: So glad that I found this lovely company! Amazing selection of products and my order arrived very quickly. I will definitely purchase from Kate's Kitchen again.

12/07/2026: I never expected to leave a bad review to Kate’s but I have to be honest about my experience. I have lived in Sligo for 3 years and I work nonstop and am always really busy. So if I find some time to pop into Kate’s Kitchen to grab a cup of coffee, a delicious premade wrap or yogurt, and browse around I’m usually delighted to do so. Although, every time I have ordered my regular flat white with oat milk I’m having to wait for my coffee longer than the people who ordered after me and every time I gave my name and spelled it and the barista pronounces wrong. Usually when people pronounce my name wrong it doesn’t bother me but if people are getting their orders before me when I have ordered and paid for my order before them it is extremely annoying. I popped in yesterday to order my regular coffee and said my name is spelled “Zo” and when the male barista with glasses called out my order he read it, rolled his eyes and called for “Zoey”. You can say this was the last annoying thing I can actually take from this place cause I hoped my experience would get better each time but it didn’t. As much as I used to like going to Kate’s I think I have to stop going as I am tired of coming here thinking it’s a treat for myself and being treated like a subpar customer every time. And for 3 years this has been my experience.
