12/06/2025: So happy that it is re opened again. We needed something like this in Saggart. Waiter did not understand english when I asked for a fork and knife, but everything else is great. Inside looks amazing, fish & chips were nice. Garlic sauce was so good!!!! We did not have a reservation, but had seated really quick.
11/06/2025: Newly refurbished and reopened under new management serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.
Full bar now serving extensive cocktail list.

20/06/2025: Anvil staff are excellent..incredibly hard working. Emma made cocktails for us this evening & was so professional! …just learning the ropes & handled the pressure so well. Fantastic job!!! Thanks also to the wonderful staff. In particular Christy, Anna & Kaitlin👏👏👏Super to have an excellent restaurant back in our village.
20/06/2025: The Staff at the anvil looked after us very well tonight. Fantastic pizza and even better cocktails. Thanks to Emma at the bar who worked like a Trojan to keep the drinks flowing under pressure. Christy, Kaitlin and Anna always look after us so well.
We missed the anvil when it was being refurbished and it’s great to see it back with a new look and we wish it the best success. Dave & Derv

04/07/2025: Nothing special,not so many fries.For my taste oversalty. Vegetables cold and in traces (few) but chicken wings that is another level of "fresh".
I order once and delete app.
07/06/2025: Love this place. Have ordered from all around the area and this is by far my favourite. Spice bag is nice and spicy instead of being too sweet. Aromatic duck is the best I’ve had, with no fat!!! And the curry sauce is to die for..

17/06/2025: This place was suggested to us by one of the locals, I have never been happier with atmosphere, service and food of an establishment. Tonight was my friend and I's second night dining at The Maple Tree. When our cheese platter came out it was like we had found our sole purpose in life. I highly recommend it.
*UPDATE* It has been 7 years since my friend and I went to the Maple Tree and had the cheese platter. To this day we still talk about it regularly.
11/06/2025: Unfortunately this is the nearest place to me. At least the Anvil is back open, and Jacob's is great for a drink
