01/10/2025: The food was absolutely disgusting from this place and I'd never eat from here again,pure and utter disgrace

05/10/2025: Sometimes, it’s the simplest of dishes that are hard to get right… Take that age old takeaway favourite, Fish & Chips, for instance… intentions are usually good but invariably gets served as some insipid tasteless piece of is-it-or-isn’t-it-cod with a mediocre batter on top of a congealed mush of soggy chips. Sound familiar?? Enter AJ’s in Ballyshannon. The chips (…and they were PROPER chips) were plentiful and that lovely combination of fluffy centred and crispy outside, and perched on top of this potato perfection was a slab of the finest flakiest fishiest feed, swaddled lovingly in a blanket of the tastiest crispiest batter this side of Batterstown! I can’t begin to describe the joy that deep fried fish can bring, all that it was missing was being wrapped in a sheet of yesterday’s news. AJ’s are definitely doing fish the way fish should be done, light and lovely… I’m not codding! Treat yourself to a day off cooking with a takeaway the way takeaways are meant to be taken away. 15/10 for crispy coddiness!!

05/08/2025: The vegetable soup here has absolutely no flavor. It's just diced potatoes, chopped onion, and carrots in water. Only after adding a lot of salt and pepper was it even remotely edible. The coffee was definitely not freshly brewed and was still very strong with milk. We wouldn't recommend it. The ice cream and fries are probably better.

05/08/2025: Disaster! Waited an hour for food. For a burger and fish & chips. The noise level was like a train station. Never again.

09/07/2025: Made an order for delivery. Food arrived cold. Half the food was missing from the order. Asked for no mayo in the burger but it instead came with a hair in it. Should have specified that I didn’t want that either. My fault.

04/05/2025: Always the best burger. Every time I come back to this town I always get their burger. The servers are great, they were really kind to fix my order. I always like Brioche Bun. I wish they start giving options to select the type of bun.

25/07/2025: Good food. Csn deliver and make food under pressure. Wish they could tell tables to be quieter

28/06/2025: Food was very poor got a quarter pounder and chip both of the frozen variety. Very poor for the price.
