01/12/2025: Fish and chips very fresh very nice. Smoked fish was not my preference but was nice
24/11/2025: We ordered through Just Eat and were told it had arrived. The food was not delivered even though we were told that it was. I phoned Beshoffs and spoke to a girl called Nia who was most unhelpful and not at all pleasant. Eventually she assured me that her supervisor would call me back immediately. That was the last I heard from them. I would never deal with Beshoffs again after this experience. No customer care whatsoever. Eventually with difficulty, I contacted Just Eat and they agreed to refund me within one week. We spoke to Beshoff head office the next day, also a waste of time. We were told “this happens all the time with Just Eat” What an attitude !!!!

30/10/2025: Driving an EV, relied on Applegreen Service to get a charge to get home.....only one charger available and been used with others waiting....how can we move to EV's if we can't get recharged????

McDonald's
20/11/2025: AVOID at all costs. The car parking is an absolute scam, McDonalds have hired a clamping company who sit in a van in the car park between the circle K and McDonalds. They wait and watch for people to walk over to the service station and they clamp within 2 minutes of arrival without any prior warning or notice that the car park is for McDonalds customers only. When asked the reason, I was told "McDonalds are losing out on custom". I doubt a €42 million euro business are being affected by one car park out of their 96 franchises in ireland. It is an absolute scam.

Fingal Cafe

31/10/2025: Moved to swords this year and decided to try fingal cafe in the hopes of finding a good chipper in the area.
Really disappointing that they do not freshly batter the fish. They have a drawer filled with essentially part cooked fish (likely frozen and defrosted as needed) that they then put into the fryer. Because of this the batter is crispy on the outside but is mushy closer to the fish.
A very short sighted way of cost cutting. I was hoping this could have been a place for us to continuously return to over the years but unfortunately I will never be back as the food is not up to scratch.
At 35 euro for 2 fish and chips with sauces you really should be trying to do better for your customers fingal cafe.
11/10/2025: I ordered from Fingal Café about a year ago and ended up bringing every single item back. The food was vile — ghostly, anaemic chips that looked like they’d seen a microwave more than a fryer. I swore I’d never go near the place again.
Fast forward to today and my partner, bless him, comes home with a surprise chipper. I took one bite of the garlic cheese chips and instantly knew that history was repeating itself. Dry, dusty, and somehow both soggy and stale? A true culinary mystery.
It’s impressive, after a full year later and they’ve managed to maintain the same level of disappointment. Never again
