The best restaurants in Leixlip legal town

14/04/2025: Pizza is absolutely 5 star. Restaurant needs more atmosphere, it seems that is mainly based on takeaways. For some reason soft drinks are served in glass from plastic bottle instead of can or bottled glass. A bit pricy place. There is about 3-4€ price difference between takeaway pizza price and dine in price which is strange.

04/04/2025: We order delivery from Koshiba regularly (2-3 times per month) and have been for nearly 4 years now. They are 1 of 2 sushi restaurants that deliver to our area, and of these 2 restaurants, Koshiba sushi is better. We seldom have complaints about the food quality. The sushi rolls, gyoza, edamame, and vegetable savoury rice are always quite good, though the agedashi tofu, ramen and tempura have disappointed us in the past due to bland flavour. Our biggest gripes are that Koshiba prices keep increasing and they are getting stingier with condiments and chopsticks. Today we placed a €75 order of sushi through Just Eat (includes delivery fee). This only feeds two people, and we are not big eaters. We only got one small piece of wasabi and some ginger in one of the 4 sushi trays, and there were no chopsticks provided at all. They never give more than one set of chopsticks, even for orders that are clearly for multiple people, and sometimes they give none at all. Surely they can give you at least 2 sets of chopsticks and more wasabi and ginger on such a large order?? Anyway, because we like sushi, we keep going back to Koshiba. But if there were more sushi restaurants near us, we wouldn't be such loyal customers. The food is good, but €75 for two people to eat delivery food is equivalent to a fine dining experience in a somewhat fancy restaurant.

11/04/2025: Although the food was good, and the place was nice, the service was super slow. It took a long time to order and a long time to get the food. One of the customers from the table next to us who was waiting to order went to the counter and complained and when he was told to wait more, he pointed to staff and said : these people are just hanging around. He left the cafe without ordering. We went from our office for lunch break but we won't go again because the time would exceed our usual lunch break due to the slowness

05/04/2025: Hospitality shown from the staff and the bouncers you would not find anywhere else. The manager cathal and Darren are absolute gents. As well as the bouncers. Glen and Nikolai and Aurel, all of the others. Definitely recommend

15/04/2025: I’d like to share a not-so-great experience with one of the waitresses (black hair at 14:50). From the moment I entered, it was clear my English wasn’t strong, but she made no effort to slow down or help me understand. When it came time to pay, I think she asked about leaving a tip (not sure), and I said no simply because I didn’t understand — her reaction was rude, she charged me and didn’t look at me again. Later, when she brought the burger, I asked what she had said before, and she answered in a very dry, unfriendly way. I don’t think that’s how a customer should be treated, especially when they’re trying to be polite. I’d honestly like to see her in Spain, trying to speak my language and being treated the same way — people speaking super fast, making no effort to understand her, and replying rudely. The burger was good, the fries were average, and the Coke was cold good. I’d still recommend the place — just not on the days this waitress is working. I give it 3 stars because it's not the place's fault that its waitress is so unpleasant and then the other girl who replaced her was really nice.
