12/08/2025: We recently called into the Monasterboice Inn without a reservation and were delighted to be accommodated. It had been quite some time since our last visit, and from the moment we walked in, the experience was exceptional. The food was as wonderful as we remembered. The Chicken Maryland is still an absolute standout dish—a classic that's perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. What elevated the evening, however, was our waiter, Niall. His service was nothing short of exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make our meal a fantastic experience. His professionalism and great personality made us feel incredibly welcome and well-cared for. Looking forward to a return visit. A huge thank you to Niall and the entire team for a memorable night.
