Shouk
Dublin
18/03/2024: Great atmosphere and delicious food
12/03/2024: We went because of a teacher's recommendation on Valentine's day and it was such a good choice! We tried the shared plate with hummus and different snacks that were really delicious and also a hummus with chicken that was fantastic! Everything was extremely tasty, it was so much food for just the two of us, but totally worth it.

Keshk
Dublin
05/10/2023: This place is closed permanently Google showing it open .
09/09/2023: Exceptional Arabic , Greek and Turkish cuisine with fair portion on best quality! We ate charcoal chicken breast served with chilli potatoes, shawarma chicken and for starters we ordered falafel and hummus accompanied with pitta break.. nice choice in baggot street area.
However too loud as the place is small so it was very busy Saturday afternoon.. try different day..

Olesya's Wine Bar
Dublin
14/03/2024: We had a lovely evening at Olesya’s. Deluxe platter with loads of warm crispy bread and delicious wine. The staff were just lovely, so helpful with recommendations and attention. Highly recommend for a relaxed, chilled evening.
04/03/2024: Best described as a wine bar, Olesyas has, over the years, developed into a competent restaurant. Our ‘go to’ here is the Deluxe Platter but there are numerous other items to dine, or nibble, on as you imbibe from the many beautiful wines available on the menu.
The ambience is nothing short of cool and on a warm summer evening with the windows wide open, you could be in any Mediterranean haven, slowly wiling the day away.
We have had many visits here and highly recommend it.
Toilets, downstairs, are always clean and well maintained. There is extra seating there too, but the main event is the main room.

Peperina Garden Bistro
Dublin
20/02/2024: A Neighborhood Gem to Dine in Ranelagh, Dublin Ireland!
Ranelagh is a residential area of Dublin situated south of the Grand Canal. Getting there from Central Dublin is a healthy walk, or quick ride on the Luas. Dubliners are well aware of the cluster of trendy cafes, global restaurants , and gastropubs along the main street, Ranelagh Road. The side streets of Ranelagh are lined with redbrick 19th-century houses, shops, and restaurants. It’s along one of these side streets, among a cluster of shops, where we found Peperina Garden Bistro at 25 Dunville Avenue just west of the Beechwood Luas stop (the second stop south of the Grand Canal on the Luas Green Line).
Peperina is a casual bistro serving breakfast, lunch, a renowned weekend brunch, and on Thursday to Saturday from 6:00pm – 9:30pm there is an evening menu offering. They pride themselves on simple consistency. We stopped in for a light mid-day lunch before shopping in a nearby Italian grocer for fresh produce, pasta and sauce for that evening’s homemade dinner at our daughter’s apartment.
While the lunch menu has plenty of wonderful offerings to choose from, I jumped on the Soup of the Day because it was seafood chowder, which is my go to lunch item in Ireland. I look for seafood chowder with a light broth and a lot of seafood and vegetables in the mix, but few or no potatoes. I’m searching for the best seafood chowder the country has to offer, and the Peperina chowder will long be on the top contender list. The broth was light, not creamy, and the fish stock was rich with salmon, cod, carrots and celery. The homemade brown bread accompanying the dish was as good as the chowder itself.
Outstanding! It was a proper way to enjoy a casual lunch on the 100th anniversary of my late father’s birth.
If you are in Dublin, and want to grab a meal outside the tourist zones, I fully recommend what you can find in Ranelagh. Peperina will not disappoint, being listed as one of Dublin’s Best Restaurants 2019 by Hot Press Magazine.

The Port House
Dublin
20/03/2024: We got lucky and managed to get a last table for 2 as walk in’s and we were so happy we did. We ordered a selection of small plates to share with a lovely bottle of red. This place has a real cosy feel with a great atmosphere, the staff were amazing and gave us super recommendations. We were about to leave and spotted the crème brûlée and so glad we got to enjoy it.
We look forward to going back soon and will make sure we book before we go as it’s a busy intimate space.
19/03/2024: Food was cold when got to us. Prawns weren't hot. Need a bit more sauce on patatas bravas. 7.50 quite expensive for a pint of beer. Enjoyable. Shame about food not being hot.

Port House Pintxo
Dublin
13/03/2024: Nice good hot and filling… beer is very good… lighting is a little
08/03/2024: The food didn’t have any taste. Didn’t taste like any Spanish tapas at all, more like junk food. We were placed at the back of the restaurant with a view on a horrible gray square with young kids smoking against the window (also a great view). The service was nothing special. They asked what they had to ask, but smiling was already difficult.

Viva
Dublin
05/11/2023: The food was tasty and well priced but nothing really stood out. Staff was really nice. However, there was only one person serving the whole restaurant so it took us some time to order each time we needed something.
