29/06/2024: I was visiting from the states and JP Duffy from Shevlins Pub referred me to this establishment. I was looking for live music and it was a Sunday, June , 26th. Boy was I not disappointed ! The band was the best ever and I mean awesome !! Great atmosphere, service and people ! My family had a hotel and carriage shop in town in the mid 1800’s, what a great visit !

Dessert at 8.80 and the crust of the apple pie was nearly burned.
I was there before and it wasn' t so crazy.
The bathroom, nice and clean, is downstairs.....lift is out of work.
Badly need of improuvement

02/12/2024: I had the steak sandwich perfectly cooked. My niece had the beef burger and it was excellent. The valley lodge is one place in Carrick where you are guaranteed not to go away hungry.

16/11/2024: I love awesome coffee. I've been going since the doors were opened. To the extent that I literally go every day. I'm steadily making way through trying every type of coffee. The coffee is just outstanding and the staff are amazing. It's a place where you can go and know you are going to walk out smiling every time. 10/10

18/10/2024: Rocksalt CMX is a lovely little cafe and restaurant. The food and coffee are excellent and the staff are really helpful and nice. It's a lovely spot with its indoor and outdoor dining facilities. Nestled down at the Carrick Aces running track, it is a lovely place to pop into after or before a nice walk/run around the Convent Avenue walkway. Highly recommend anyone to go in and give it a try. You won't be disappointed. 5 star!

01/09/2024: A pretty humble cafe from the exterior but clearly very popular with the locals. We were served by a lovely young Irish lad, very friendly and welcoming. Lovely full Irish breakfast and the best coffee so far I've had in Ireland, and prices are very reasonable.
