02/10/2025: We went for the first time today as we’d seen reviews it was very dog friendly - and happy to find it was! Plus the food was delicious & the staff absolutely lovely. Will definitely be back!
28/09/2025: Highly recommend for anyone looking for great coffee and even better company. The atmosphere is always welcoming and the staff couldn’t be friendlier. The food (I recommend the pancakes!) and coffee are consistently excellent, and it’s the kind of place you look forward to coming back to.
One of the things that makes it extra special is the community spirit – the Sunday run club is such a brilliant idea and adds a really positive vibe. The cafe is also dog friendly, which makes it the perfect spot to relax after a walk or run.

09/09/2025: Awesome is a gem in the heart of Carrickmacross, serving coffee from expert roaster (roasts coffee in house), delicious bakes and always a kids hot chocolate for the little ones. Staff are top class, in a town where there is no shortage of coffee shops, this one stands out.

29/11/2025: Bar man said we were "too rowdy" and "causing hassle for others". Disappointed by the service considering the photo attached is how we were for the night. Bar man took a photo of us all and didn't say anything concerning and then decided we were all too mouldy and causing hassle for others despite us being the only people present. No wonder small bars are losing business when this is what people are met with.

02/09/2025: Seriously overpriced for the quality of what you get out of there. Save yourself a bundle and shop literally anywhere else and for your own sake avoid the deli counter in here at all costs. €5.50 for roll with rock hard hash browns and rashers the woman behind the counter could barely break apart. Why, in any world, she would see/feel the absolute piss poor quality of their food and still have the gall to serve it to me is unexcusable and unacceptable.

04/07/2025: Ordered an spice box from here and… well…. What a disappointment. Got one here before was so amazingly good I came back but unfortunately they have changed, and as a person who hates change this just tipped over the edge. Finished the spice box quickly, not because I ate it fast but because there was diddly all in it. About 90% soggy chips and 10% chicken. Had two massive chicken balls which could have been tennis balls. Chicken wings were also in the box and I swear my toe was bigger than one of them. oh, and don’t let me forget, NO SHREDDED CHICKEN? About five bits of onion in it. I know. Horrific. This may seem like a joke to whomever is reading, but I am deadly serious. Deadly. Don’t even get curry with the meal ridic and it was twelve euro. Felt more like eating a crappy lucky bag than a spice box.

22/04/2025: Our friends took us here while visiting them in Carrickmacross and said this is the best place to go and try your first Guinness. 5 pints of Guinness later, and they were not wrong. It's a really cool pub with very welcoming and friendly staff.

30/10/2025: I was attracted by the Irish 🇮🇪 and Palestine 🇵🇸 flag floating together! And mashallah, the place is cozy and the service excellent! Great food and great caffé at a fair price!
07/10/2025: Absolutely love this place since it became Avenue Coffee (was a Rock salt). They somehow made it even better. Lovely staff, lovely coffee! The outside got a great revamp too... Looks even better now!!
