09/09/2026: I had the pleasure of attending an event at Adamsons Bar recently and staying in the newly furnished inn upstairs. For the bar: The pizza and wings are delicious. We had a few different styles of pizza while we were attending the event and it was so good, we ordered a Hawaiian for our room the next day. Excellent selection of beer, wine, ciders and liquor. The service has small town charm with big city professionalism. For the Inn: The rooms are incredibly comfortable, albeit on the cozy size - but this is to be expected for a facility of this age and history. The showers had excellent water pressure and it is clear that there was no expenses spared in the recent renovations. We especially liked all of the bits of history about both the inn and Clones framed on the walls outside each room and in the hallways. Ross made sure we were content, comfortable and well taken care of all with a smile on his face. Before we arrived, he sent me a document with the door codes, local amenities (shout out to the Bean Box!) and instructions on which room we would be in. He made sure to find us in the pub on our first night, introduce himself and made himself available by phone should we need anything. No ask we had seemed to be an issue. The shared kitchen facility and living room area were incredible with a very nice coffee machine, dishes, double basket air fryer, full stove/oven, big screen tv and a rooftop patio with brand new decking. Should we find our way back to Clones from Canada, I will absolutely be sending Ross a message and trying to secure the Drovers room once again.

07/06/2026: Our recent Nicholl family gathering at the Creighton Hotel was a fantastic experience. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are of a very high standard, and the food was excellent throughout our stay. What really stood out was the staff, who couldn’t do enough for us. They were friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to make our family gathering a success. Thank you to everyone at the Creighton Hotel for your outstanding hospitality. We would highly recommend it and look forward to returning in the future.

23/09/2026: We called into The Coffee Box towards the end of the summer holidays with our four kids, ranging in age from one to ten, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. As a wheelchair user, finding somewhere that is both accessible and comfortable for a family of six isn’t always easy. The Coffee Box is relatively small, but the staff couldn’t have done more for us. They rearranged tables, made sure I had plenty of room to manoeuvre and that all six of us were comfortable. That kind of thoughtfulness makes such a difference. The food was exceptional. Everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. Both my one-year-old and I had the French toast, which we completely devoured. It was delicious. And, most importantly for me, the coffee was exquisite. Definitely some of the best coffee I’ve had in the local area in a very long time. The service was just as impressive as the food. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful, and nothing felt like too much trouble. Fantastic food, excellent coffee and genuinely lovely people. We will definitely be back.

14/01/2026: This bed-and-breakfast in the centre of Clones was truly special. From the moment I arrived, I felt a warm, family-like atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. The food was wonderful. Ann and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, and the room was warm, cozy, and comforting. It meant more to me than just a place to stay — I’m very grateful and would highly recommend it.
