26/11/2024: The owner was so lovely. He saw my elderly mother enter the hotel and he led us into the restaurant where he sat us near the fire. A lovely friendly waitress came to take our order and the drinks and food were delicious. Lovely hot, tasty, freshly cooked homemade food. Lamb and turkey & ham were delicious. The sherry trifle was delicious also. Could not fault anything. The owner came to our table on two occasions to find out how everything was. The waitress gave us chips and garlic potatoes as an extra with our main course. The portions are very generous and the prices are extremely reasonable. Will definitely recommend this restaurant to others. Enjoyed our Sunday lunch very much indeed.

Freshly baked, top class products, clearly using the best ingredients and meats. I leave every week smiling and look forward to my treat the following week 🤗

19/01/2025: Sunday lunch 2 roast beef dinners. More quantity than quality. Roast beef very poor quality tough and tasteless. Must say the waitress was very efficient and apologetic.

21/10/2024: Tengo una ensalada en camino. No quedaba mucho porque era 1 cuando aparecimos. Pero muchas verduras. Yo diría que son ensaladas de tamaño americano, así que lo dividimos entre 2 adultos.

06/08/2024: A great place to stop on a long journey. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It was very busy but we did not have long to wait. I can thoroughly recommend the Sizzler’s salad special, which was very tasty with fresh salad.

Side Street Cafe Cootehill

28/09/2024: This cafe was our saving grace, we were staying in a local hotel but the hotel food was terrible so we found this hidden gem, the girls were so lovely and honestly couldn’t fault anything we even stoped in on our way home to pick up some apple pies, keep up the good work, if we ever find ourselves back in Cootehill you will be our first stop!
08/08/2024: The side street cafe is a lovely spot to visit and would recommend to friends and family! The staff here are lovely and very attentive even when the place is very busy.
They have a great menu with a great mix of dishes! They also have a nice selection of deserts and smoothies! Very reasonable prices too!
