The Castle Sports Bar
13/12/2024: 1 star just for the service! Waited 40 minutes for food when there was only one other table in the restaurant (another table came after we ordered and received their food first). I ordered buffalo wings which tasted of fish so I’d imagine there being fried in the same oil and when I mentioned it to staff nothing was done and I left them. My partners pizza came out burnt and we ordered a ‘warm chocolate brownie’ which was cold chocolate sponge cake with sauce on top

23/11/2024: The Royal in BJD was a great place for a pint and to meet friends and family. I'm from the US and every time we're in town we meet friends and family there. Good craic.
06/11/2024: Pat and the staff were very accommodating for our event in October. It's our favorite stop. Look forward to visiting again.

06/10/2024: Best latte in Cavan! Community atmosphere. Always included in everyone's conversations. Staff go above and beyond to chat and serve every customer. Freshly baked, top class products, clearly using the best ingredients and meats. I leave every week smiling and look forward to my treat the following week 🤗

21/10/2024: Tengo una ensalada en camino. No quedaba mucho porque era 1 cuando aparecimos. Pero muchas verduras. Yo diría que son ensaladas de tamaño americano, así que lo dividimos entre 2 adultos.

06/08/2024: A great place to stop on a long journey. The staff are friendly and welcoming. It was very busy but we did not have long to wait. I can thoroughly recommend the Sizzler’s salad special, which was very tasty with fresh salad.

Side Street Cafe Cootehill

28/09/2024: This cafe was our saving grace, we were staying in a local hotel but the hotel food was terrible so we found this hidden gem, the girls were so lovely and honestly couldn’t fault anything we even stoped in on our way home to pick up some apple pies, keep up the good work, if we ever find ourselves back in Cootehill you will be our first stop!
08/08/2024: The side street cafe is a lovely spot to visit and would recommend to friends and family! The staff here are lovely and very attentive even when the place is very busy.
They have a great menu with a great mix of dishes! They also have a nice selection of deserts and smoothies! Very reasonable prices too!
