13/07/2025: Athagarvan Inn is always a 10. The Guinness has to be some of the best in Kildare. Staff are truly very caring and know everyone local.

07/09/2025: We had an absolutely phenomenal lunch at Strongs Café, on our way to Cork. If we had time to stop on our way back, we would’ve stopped! We cannot recommend this place enough. The food is fresh, delicious, and healthy. Even our 21 year-old picky eater who loves less than healthy food love her meal. The coffee is also delicious, the service is excellent and the place is incredibly cute. Don’t miss this place!

Tucked into one of the most historic corners of Kildare — and Ireland itself — this small but mighty pub punches way above its weight. Always a cracking night out here: one minute you could be in the middle of a rock gig, the next you're swept into a trad session you’ll remember for years. That's the magic of this place — you never quite know what you'll walk into, but it’s always good craic. They used to serve food (and it was great), which sadly seems to be on pause for now — hopefully it makes a comeback, because the atmosphere deserves it. Whether you're local or just passing through, Moone High Cross Inn is well worth the detour. A true gem of Irish pub culture — you’ll leave with a smile, a story, and maybe a new favorite song.

03/08/2025: Just popped in on our way back from Carlow around 5.30pm and enjoyed the Beef special and Collette had the fish & chips Cod special,both were excellent 👌
