30/08/2026: This is the first time I come here and I must say the food is excellent. I had the avocado toast and the ingredients were super fresh but also well combined. Even the tomatoes on the side were gently roasted with balsamic vinegar to enhance the flavour. Well done.

10/08/2026: We visited P. Egan while spending the day in Moate, as we knew Michael Jackson had visited this pub during his time living in Ireland. From the moment we arrived, Paul welcomed us with such warmth and kindness and made our visit feel truly special.
It’s a beautiful traditional Irish pub, full of character, history and a lovely atmosphere.
We’re so grateful to Paul for taking the time to talk with us, share stories and make us feel so welcome. Being there already had a very special meaning for us because of Michael, but Paul’s kindness made the experience even more memorable.
Thank you so much, Paul. We will definitely come back! ♥️
13/07/2026: Iconic, 200+ year- old pub, the watering hole of celebrities and film stars over the decades (inc stars of "Dallas."). Welcoming host, professional, friendly service and great 'craic' to be had by all. Ideal for parties, events. It's like stepping back in time with the traditional pub atmosphere and old-fashioned Irish 'service with a smile.'

03/06/2026: The room was clean and the self-check in super easy. It’s got a private parking area and is located a short walk from the castle and river. We had a great stay here.

06/09/2026: I can't even believe this happened. I literally just walked past the pub after Dunnes Stores and heard some lovely live music so walked in. I think there was some sort of mix up where my first drink was put on the event tab. I wasn't asking for anything for free and went to buy a second drink later. What happened next is hard to even believe. The bartender who offered me the drink was later on shouting at me saying that I didn't know that the whole bar was actually some private closed off event (keep in mind I had been there for hours with no idea of this) and then a man was suddenly like "you better get out or I will call the gardai" on me for not knowing I was at some private party. It was all very confusing and startling after being there for hours.
30/08/2026: Friendly staff, a real mix of people in the place enjoying themselves. It's clean, comfortable and the food is good.

25/08/2026: I usually go here when I am visiting the shopping centre. Plus side good prices x d the food is usually good quality. I was there on Monday for breakfast. Small fry included tea and toast for 11.50. The price is similar to other places but the fry was awful so greasy I had hobget done napkins to try up foxk come up but even with that I just managed the egg and sausage. I will not be having that again, at least not there. Disappointed. Up side, quick and friendly service.
24/08/2026: i purchased a birthday cake here and when we tried it at home it was very stale, 100% not fresh. tasted very weird and even gave a friend some stomach issues.

11/05/2026: I order my daughter communion cake from here. It was absolutely beautiful. So tasty and fresh. The service was fantastic. I couldn't recommend this place for cakes enough.

13/07/2024: What a great little asset to Wexford Town , and what a great little asset Amy is to O Briens Sandwich Bar. Fantastic, diligent worker , with such a fantastic smile, she would always encourage you to come back. The service was great as was the sandwich.
