04/12/2024: Even though it was very busy and we hadn't booked we were still seated within 10 minutes. A varied menu with something for everyone, our food was delicious and plentiful. No empty bellies leaving Hester's. A fine dessert to follow and we were happy and full on departure. If you want good food in a good atmosphere and with courteous, efficient and friendly staff then I'd highly recommend Hester's to anyone. Keep up the good work Breege, Ollie, Frankie and staff. ππ
02/11/2024: Prompt service, good sized portions for good price and squash on the table which was a nice touch to go with the tap water (which was brought to our table within a couple minutes of sitting down without even needing to ask for it)

05/07/2024: Shame it closed - Best coffee I've found so far in Ireland. It's the equivalent of Espresso 44 in Galway, with even better coffee. The shop is small and always smells like freshly brewed coffee. Crazy idea, but I'd love it if they would also sell the best coffee scented candles they could find from Yankees and hand crafted. Friendly staff, impeccably clean.

14/12/2024: Beautiful home made veg soup and the darkest most delicious brown bread EVER! It didneven need butter. Pure delighted. Only there were children in the room I would have done a 'Harry met Sally' in pure delight.

16/09/2024: We had the pleasure of dining here last night. Our first impression was just how clean it was. Every surface was sparkling. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. Drinks were ordered and swiftly delivered while we perused the menu. It was a quiet night but there was still a lovely ambience in the restaurant. We ordered poppadoms and dips, veg samosas (best we have EVER had) followed by chicken shaslik, chicken tikka jalfrezi, Gobi aloo and rice. The whole meal was absolutely delicious and wonderful service with a smile. We will most certainly return to this beautiful restaurant and recommend it to friends. Great night out.

Cafolla's takeaway and pizzeria

11/11/2024: I start from this idea: you should never expect much from a fast food / takeaway pizzeria.
Cafolla's surprised us as well as saved us!
We were HUNGRY so we went and ate there.
Surprisingly they make a nice high and leavened pizza dough, something that has been lost in many Italian pizzerias..!
I also got a kind of BBQ sandwich with sweet and sour onions and salad in addition to the meat... Very pleasant.
Even the chips are real chips made on the spot, without that disgusting fried taste and that's it... They seemed healthier to me.
What we didn't like is that, however, in addition to the ingredients displayed for our pizzas, they make "small but significant additions": the corn in my pizza was a bit out of place and the same cooked ham in my partner's pizza is not never been requested... In any case they were very good anyway.
I give a 3 to the environment only because the bathroom care is not the best and it is one for both sexes............

26/11/2024: Utter and complete rip off, food is terrible, this is the 3rd and last time I will go there, there is always a problem, if it's not getting charged twice and having to fight to get your payment back, it's having a problem with the food. This time it was no sauce (sweet and sour chicken balls) and not enough rice for the order. They had an excuse and it's always your fault. β¬45 and stuff missing. Avoid at all cost
20/10/2024: Got chicken fried rice, chips and satay sauce. The chips tasted refried even though we ordered at 5pm so it should be extra fresh. The chicken was rubbery and not much flavour. After a few hours I felt very sick and all night was getting sick and was definitely from here as thatβs all I ate that day.

17/07/2024: Went here for a friends 90th Birthday party. The food was great and the staff amazing clearing the tables quickly as soon as each course was over.
