31/05/2025: We wanted to have lunch before reaching the Monastic Site of Clonmacnoise so we stopped at the River Café which was well signaled on the road. My wife ordered the Quiche Lorraine and I ordered the Cod and Chips. We shared a Pavlova for dessert. All dishes were truly excellent! Highly recommended.
25/05/2025: Passing through today, we stopped at the River Cafe, enjoyed a tasteful lunch and viewed the free exhibition which presents an informative insight into the Napoleonic Fortifications & Martello Towers built in Ireland. The staff were helpful & pleasant & looked cool in their River Cafe t-shirts. Toilet spotless. It is dog friendly too🐶. Picked up some lovely items in the gift shop.
